Store sprites in different arrays

Basically, I’m making a strategy game and there’s 4 different color for each unit, and many spritesheets, what is a good way to store each frame in an array?

That highly depends on what should be colored in your 4 fractions. If entire unit, you might satisfy with one monochrome sprite sheet and color transforms, if not, then ther’s not enough information to give a good advice.
