Need help finding free flash maker

I know what you’re going to say, so don’t. I know to read the stickies before posting, and I did. I got FlashDevelope like the guide said too.
The reason why I’m posting is it can only create as files and other texted based files, but not fla or swf files.

Can someone tell me where I can get something that can create fla and swf files for free?

Since everyone who has ever used FlashDevelop in the entire history of time will have had the same requirement, why not read their documentation on the matter?

And where can I find such documentation? :)

I have the same problem. does flashDevelop have a library, stage, all that stuff, it seems like its only an actionscript file creator.

Nope, no library, stage or any of that. Anything graphical has to be imported (from image files or existing swfs) and controlled with code.

I’ve been using SWFMill and MTASC to build Flash SWF files from sources. They’re not perfect, but the price is right…

Note that SWFMill has a lot of problems with embedding sounds into the SWF, so if you’re interested in doing something that’s sound-heavy rather than graphics-heavy you might look for another tool.

Or use a more recent version. ;p
