Where can I find free music for my game?

Since I’m not much of a game musician myself, and can’t afford to hire one, I wonder: Is there any place from where I can get free music to put in my game? Of course, the rights to use the music in commercial sence should not be reserved, so that I know I have the permission from the owner of the music to use it. If you know of some site which has this I would be glad to know.

NG audio portal then just get permission from the artist for commercial use.

There are some great audio loops for games done by 8bitrocket.com and they are royalty free. I don’t think the ones on NG are…well atleast not most of them that I’ve seen.

Newgrounds is pretty good, though I also like jamendo.com, as it has songs as well as game music, some of the ambience/pschedelic stuff is good game material.
