he gave me a disk with FLASH MX and other flash programs on it FREE :D
now to find away to get my 98 comp that got locked in safe mode to work :/
(i went to settings and clicked adapter and clciked teh replace with a better one which had the word “(recremended)” in a semi boldness so i clciked and it changed it to a non graphical thing) so now it cant run in normal mode and in order to fix it i need to be in normal mode so in safe mode i searched through everything came upon a file called “DISPLAY.txt” and it “supposedly” had teh answer to the bug it sai to restart the computer and well its restarting hold down “CTRL” untill you see the system menue (options like normal command prompt safe made etc.) then load in safe mode then right click background then click setting change thing from 16 bit – 32 bit then clcik ok and restart
except by holding down CTRL that disables the mouse and the keyboard so how exactly do i right click the background ??? (and i mean it disables them by making the comp think they are not plugged in and yet they are becasue i restart with out holding CTRL and it kinda works except only in safe mode)
(btw im trying to ask what do i do to fix my 98 comp so it works on normal and isn’t locked on safe mode because honestly i cant use any programs in safe mode) |

What exactly is the problem? Are you stuck in safe mode?
I’m not exactly sure why you are posting on Kongregate for this, you might get more help on a computer help forum. |

Bad graphics drivers. Start in Safe Mode, open Device Manager, and uninstall the graphics drivers. When you next restart, Windows will use the default graphics drivers. |

Ok, Let me summarise:
1. Start up in Safe Mode (no problem, right?)
2. Right-click “My Computer”, and choose “Properties”.
3. Click “Device Manager” (I think it’s on the first screen in 98 – you might have to hunt around a bit)
4. Find “Graphics Controllers” (or something similar) in the list, click the little +, then select the item in there and go to properties.
5. Tell Windows to uninstall the drivers for that device.
6. Restart your computer. |

You can make any and all system-wide changes in Safe Mode. That’s what Safe Mode is there for. So if you screw something up badly, you can start it in Safe Mode and fix things. |

You can access Device Manager, correct?
What categories of devices are listed in Device Manager? |
