I think (emphasis on think) that if you use files like .png, it’s a lot smaller than bitmaps… I think…

Yes, there is.
File>Export movie (or game).
Check Protect from import (if you want, it doesn’t compress anything) and Compress Movie.
If you’re using Jpeg set the quality to 50 (It’ll decrease the quality but decrease the file size a lot).
Audio Stream 24 kbps Mono (Set) [You can make it 16 kbps if you want]
MP3 24 kpbs Mono (SET). [You can make it 16 kbps if you want]
Override sound settings (Check).
Version: Choose the highest version possible for better compression.
[Note: WAV compresses way better than MP3].
If your game/movie is still big use this flash compressor/optimizer: http://www.flashoptimizer.com/
It can decrease your file size for about 70%!

My friend told me it’s scam, not sure if it’s true. Rofl.

I’d suggest using Audicity to reduce the quality of your sounds. You can download it online, and its easy to use.

Also, AioriaRox, is it really true that WAV’s compress better than MP3’s? I never knew that and would think the opposite since MP3’s are WAY smaller in size than WAV files. I guess thats good to know!

Maybe because there is more to compress?

lmaoooo…

how can using a wav be better than using mp3s?

anyways, why do you want to decrease its file size?

Actually I think they mean using wav’s compressed by flash vs. mp3’s recompressed. I would think it’d be better to compress wav’s, because the more times you compress a file the worse it becomes. But it can be absurd to hold onto wavs of 3 minute long songs and such.

Thanks for the suggestions! So .wav’s are good then? :L

I’m just wonder how decrease the size because my game is pretty short but the file size is quite big. I have been getting rid of things that i don’t need, like movie clips and stuff, so it has been getting smaller :) Sound is a problem though! So thanks for the advice.
