Carrying on the legend of our ancestors, us Reapers strive to excel in the field of art. We are a Kongregation- members of varying prowess coming together for a common ambition. Whether it’s filling a request or competing against other groups, Reaper Chronicles does it all. We nurture and inspire those new to art, and we praise those who surmount.

Just as the groups before us have done, we will be a request filling group. To make a request, you should include every possible detail in your request post. Include image size, type of image, colors to use, effects, text, font, stock (Image), and any other thing that will help the artist better-complete your request. Heck- be sure to include a specific artist’s name if you would like it done by them. I would check out the glossary in this thread to see if there’s any other things you would like done to your request.

One of our main traditions here is to “nurture the new”. Being that we have the door open to nearly anybody, we teach those who are completely new to art everything they need to know. If you’re new to art or know nothing about art and would like to join a group- we’re the group for you. Our library of resources and tutorials will be your foundation to becoming an extravagant artist.

If our “open-door” policy isn’t appealing to your experienced members, then maybe our Competitive League is. Just being in the Competitive League shows high skill and experience in Reaper Chronicles. In this League, you will compete against other artists, complete difficult requests, and more. Check out the Competitive League section for more info. (High artistic ability is required)

In Reaper Chronicles, you can compete against other members to earn different achievements. Certain achievements are worth more points than others, similar to badges on Kongregate. There’s achievements for nearly everything, and they will be revealed to the public once somebody gets that achievement.

Joining is probably the easiest thing you can do around here- besides nothing, that is. Simply tell me about yourself. You can include as much, or as little as you want. Some things that you may want to include are perhaps the type of art you do, and maybe a sample or two of your art. If you’re new to art, just mention it in your joining post. People new to art should still include something about themselves. ;)

If you, let’s say, don’t have a favorite artist- don’t sweat it. I don’t judge new members on prior knowledge about art. I won’t even judge you based off of your artistic ability as a new member.

Thou Shall Not Break the Kongregate Behavior Guidelines
This is already enforced across the entire site, but I thought I should mention it again. Just don’t do it.

Don’t judge others based off of their art.
Just because somebody can’t do something as good as you doesn’t make it “okay” to start bashing on that user. Everybody makes mistakes, and everybody has something to learn about art. We’re here to nurture the new members, not point and laugh at them. :/

Give credit to the creator.
If you plan on using somebody else’s work in your creations, be sure to give proper credit to the artist who went through the work of creating that art. I tend to dislike people who steal from others, and so do the forum mods for the art zone.

Do not spam art for points.
One of the problems with Reaper Graphix was the amount of people posting tons of art just for points. I will not give you points for slightly modified artwork, or artwork that took a second to make. So, if you post 50 version of the same piece of art, that’s only considered 1 piece of art.
Revision 1: Art is only counted as points when sent to hokage4354 via whisper.

Follow the Art Battle Policy
To have an art battle, you do not need to be a member of Reaper Chronicles. If you would like your battle record to be kept, then you must be a member. Only battles posted by an owner or co-owner will be official art battles. Art battles are not kept on record unless all of the battle details are sent to the owner/co-owner.

Battle Queue:

Before you even worry about when you’re going to have your battle, verify with another user that you two will be battling. After that, work out what you two will be making, and make all details clear. Once you two are both done with your entries, one of you needs to whisper me all of the battle details, as well as your entries. I’ll then add you to the Queue if there’s no open battles slots, or just commence with your battle if possible. Only Owners and Co-Owners can create battle threads, and only 2 battles may be active at once.

These are the most common status’s to see on a users profile.

Member: Anybody who’s a part of the group has this.
Ex-Member: Members who leave the group will have this status.
Co-Owner: Whomever the owner chooses as ‘assistants’ will have this rank.
Owner: The owner of the group has this rank- hokage4354.

Special Status:

These are given on special occasion/Are less common status’s.

Competitive League Member: Given to anybody who’s in the Competitive League.
Competitive League Warrior: Given to anybody with at least 5 wins in the Competitive League.
Competitive League Champion: Given to anybody with at least 25 wins in the Competitive League.
Competitive League God: Given to anybody with a at least 50 wins in the Competitive League.
(group name) Member: This is mostly given to ambassadors who represent another group.

These are ranks given on various occasions. No points required.

Ambassador: A representative of another group who is here for delegation.

Achievements are similar to badges. They’re small icons that will appear on your profile when you fulfill the requirements for that achievement. The only difference between achievements and badges is that you have to figure out what the achievements are. Have fun. ;)

Every contest has individual prizes for certain placings, but 1st place will always receive a ribbon for that competition. Ribbons are sort of like “First Place” trophies for your profile. They do not have any point value, but they look awesome.

Guidelines For Tutorials:
1. They must be 100% self-made.
2. Your tutorial must demonstrate an ORIGINAL skill.

5. Any “Step-by-Step Images” used in your tut must be original.
6. The entire tut has to be an image.
