Noru's "make me practice" drawing shop (updated at last!)

since i’m dedicating too little time to drawing lately, i’m doing another art request thread. since i do not have a scanner, finished drawings will be uploaded once or twice a week only, i’m afraid… but what the heck. to flaunt some work:

lovecraft’s cthulhu. early 2007, as far as i remember….

Concept/character sketch for a story a friend of mine wrote. Not very elaborate. first half of 2007, too. (the time marks on the bottom are from the date i did the blacks)

I liked the Ctuhulu picture man…what’d you use…marker and pen?

thanks, i used pencil, black sharpie fine, black staedtler pigment liner 0.4 & 0.05, copic ciao cool grey no.3 (C-3) and a japanese calligraphy brush pen i don’t know the brand for (the sticker only says “brush-like pen”).

oh, i forgot to add that these are not computer edited, but requested drawings will be. so, any requests, anyone? silly ones too, please ;] make me practice!

@ blacksharpie: this is harder than i thought because the midget always just looks like i sucked at proportions… xD but i got some sketches done and i’m pretty sure i will succeed.

actually, this is just what i was looking for: i’m starting to draw things i wold have never thought of myself. =)

ive just been studing you drawing as i wait for my awesome midget ninja! all i have to say is they are really good,

the midget ninja’s done, the rodian is painstakingly difficult for me and the bunny is next after the rodian. i’ll see how soon i can get this scanned.

finally: UPLOAD DAY!

i actually gave the drawings to a friend of mine almost a week ago to get them scanned, but she had to spend some days in hospital since then (nothing serious, at least) but had the originals at home, so everything’s gotten pretty delayed… i apologize. anyway, without further ado, here goes:

the midget ninja.

the rodian. i’m not really satisfied with this one, especially the hand is very, very bad, blacks added hastily on the train, and much more, but i have my end term exams, i don’t have the time to make another one right now, and i figured to give you at least something… i’ll make a better one eventually.

and here’s something i did a while ago and don’t even really like (some of the plants are pretty ugly, i lost interest while drawing the tree in the background, i really regret doing the wings the way i did etc…) but i always have people telling me they like it anyway, so i’ll show it to you: Neil Gaiman’s Black Orchid.
