I was wondering if anybody could recommend a graphics program, I could use for making simple models?
It doesn’t need to be very advanced, actually it shouldn’t be, because my computer is very slow. But what I want is to be able to create shapes in Pixelart, perhaps just using Paint or the program itself, and then make an object of it which I can then move around, copy a number of times, and hide or unhide. Like making a big cube out of a number of small cubes, and being able to see the inner cubes by hiding the outer cubes.
I hope it’s clear what I have in mind. I don’t really need an advanced 3D modelling program as I’m only planning on using this for pixelart.

These ones are the ones I know of, generally 3D modelling is very difficult, Swift 3D is one I found easiest to use.
I also know two others, but are generally more difficult to use (they can however, produce better results than Swift when you’re more experienced) are known as Milkshape 3D and 3DS Max. Milkshape being the easier of the two.
Swift 3D is also the only 3D modelling program which let you export your 3D animations and models into Flash, which is a real bonus for games :)!

i personally use Blender, and it comes with downloadable instructions from wikipedia. I’m pretty sure you can export to other things too.

@ThemePark
I would recommend: PAINT.NET
It’s another freeware piece of software that’s mimicing(?) Photoshop, but it’s very open-source so there is alot of things you can do to it.
Since you say you’re going to be working with alot of pixles, the “layers” tool is really useful if you’re going to be using numerous parts.
Give it a try.

why would you want a photoshop clone while i could just email him a keygen for Photoshop? my way, he can work with the best stuff rather than a clone.

…Pirating is illegal.
If you don’t support your developer’s, you won’t be able to have any other software upgrades.

Also, he asked for something simple, as his computer is slow. Photoshop is very resource consuming, and hard to run on slow PCs. steamgear is right though, pirating ftl.

yeah paint.NET is pretty good, you can’t do 3d modelling on it though to my knowledge

Keygens are illegal. They generate register keys and end up being volume serial numbers and I don’t suggest you try finding it. You may find yourself being sued by Adobe Potatochop! Inc. or/and infested with porno adware and viruses.
