WE HAVE A WINNER for the Yo Dawg Quest contest page 2

Here’s my contribution to the contest, I hope you like it :)

I just moved the border layer to the top layer and it worked just fine

Hey, just a tip, be proud of what you’ve done and never say that it’s worse than someone else and shit like that, ’cause if you seem proud of it then will other ppl more likely like it. :) And your was actually a pretty nice one :)

I wish people would stop saying that about mine. Everyone in this competition has an equal chance of winning. It’s not about having a flash background, It’s about having something that represents the theme of it. (Plus only a couple admins are picking. I’m guessing it’s about preferences in a way) Good luck to all!

I had a look on that page and it’s legal info can be found here .

It states the following:

You are free:
to copy, distribute, display, and perform the work
to make derivative works
to make commercial use of the work

So your submission should be fine.

The reason I’m not to sure about my one is because I can’t find anything about modifying the texture, but I’m assuming mine is alright too because I could use it for commercial, so why not? :3

Yeah, that’s what I thought too.

EDIT And yeah, stop thinking “Oh that’s too good I can never do anything as good as that…”. I’m 99% sure that if you ask Es337 if this is his first art contest he competes in then you’ll get the answer “Hell no”. You can’t get good without practice and you know, if you submit something then there’s always the possibility to get some creative help from other ppl.

i will be making one later. i use gimp and it dissappeared on my cpu. i had 2.6 and i went and downloaded 2.8 and i guess my computer isnt good enough for 2.8 cuz it was too slow. so now i am finding 2.6 and downloading it :D but i will make one today or tomorrow. does anyone know if we can submit more then one?

I should clearly point out why I was not first to post here.
That arrow took literally an hour to make. Photoshop does not have a triangle feature (and if it does, I can’t see it :c )

This is an important edit I forgot to mention in the main post
This image uses a texture for a background overlay that was obtained from texturez.com ( I used this one ), however it does say on the website the following:

The images on TextureZ.com are free for commercial and non-commercial use for everyone but you may not host, redistribute or sell any of the images found on this site.

Hope that’s okay. I’m not an expert on Creative commons xD

You seem to be only doing 1 per person considering Pete had more than one image. Then you’re showing one of someone’s multiple image submissions over the rest with personal preference, might want to organize it so all of the user’s submissions stick together, but other than that it seems like a nice idea.

One of Petes seemed like an edit though. I would use all of them, but that’s what it looked like :o

I’ll add it onto the list tomorrow, because I’m being bored later.
