
If feels a bit like you’re playing with software more than trying to create a specific, intentional image. The heart is the only one where there’s any representation at all.
I sort of agree with TWA. I am reasonably familiar with Photoshop and can identify the exact tools I would reach for within that program to re-create the type of images you’ve created. I see “Twirl” and “Smudge Tool” and “Find Edges” and so on.
That’s my critical impression. You asked what you might be “doing wrong.” That’s a difficult question when it’s not clear what the context is for these pieces. Are they meant to evoke an emotional reaction? Are they wallpapers? Or backdrops to a CD cover? A little application would help when considering if they’re effective.
