To embed a picture link, you must first host your image online somewhere. Deviant Art is a good, free place to do that…though there are lots of others. (You can link to images on Facebook too.)
Go to that image and “copy image location” after right-clicking on the image, (or the Mac equivalent).
Then come back here and craft your excellently written post. At the place where you want your image to appear, paste the image URL with an ! on either end. The exclamation points are very important. Brackets and carats have nothing to do with it.
