I just tried to make a stick figure on a topic here, but it came up with, well, symbols. So I wanted to post how to make them here.

First, a cross thing.

Type this:

-l-

Will turn into: l

Oh, and to do a stretched out one, type this:

-l--l-

Will turn into: l—l

And, you can cross stuff out with it too, to do so, type this:

-l-crossed-l-

Will turn into: l-crossed-l

Change the ‘crossed’ to whatever you like.

Second, lyne.

Type this:

Third, a mini up arrow.

Type this:

^^^

Will turn into: ^{^}

Fourth, an S with a circle?

Instructions:

Hold Alt key whilst pressing the numbers on the number pad from 1 to 9, after you press 9 let go of Alt.

Will be: §

Fifth, face!

Instructions:

Hold the Alt key while pressing the 1 key on the number pad, then let go of 1, then Alt.

Will be: ☺

Sixth, black face!

Instructions:

Hold Alt while pressing 2 on the number pad, then let go of 2, then Alt.

Will be: ☻

Seventh, of hearts?

Instructions:

Hold Alt while pressing 3 on the number pad, then let go of 3, then Alt.

Will be: ♥

Eighth, diamond…?

Instructions:

Hold Alt while pressing 4 on the number pad, then let go of 4, then Alt.

Will be: ♦

Ninth, of spades?

Instructions:

Hold Alt while pressing 5 on the number pad, then let go of 5, then Alt.

Will be: ♣

Tenth, of clubs?

Instructions:

Hold Alt while pressing 6 on the number pad, then let go of 6, then Alt.

Will be: ♠

Eleventh, bulletpoint!

Instructions:

Hold Alt while pressing 7 on the number pad, then let go of 7, then Alt.

Will be: •

Twelfth, SquareCubeBox!

Instructions:

Hold Alt while pressing 8 on the number pad, then let go of 8, then Alt.

• ô = Hold alt then press 1, 4, 7 in that order on the number pad, and let go of alt when you press seven.

• You can also do § by holding alt press 2, then 1, and let go of alt when you press one.

• ƒ = Alt + 1, 5, 9, let go of alt when you press nine.

• £ = Alt + 1, 5, 6, let go of alt when you press six.

• Ü = Alt + 1, 5, 4 let go of alt when you press four.

• There are several other symbols to do by pressing alt and then a couple random numbers on the num pad, including ¥, Æ, ², æ, Ä, ì, and º.

you know you can type everything you want on the num-pad if numlock is on and your hjolding down alt
