some of the stuff is pretty cool, but also some other of the stuff i dont really see why you go that crazy about… much of the stuff is actually pretty easy to do… i guess most of those pics is about 10 mins of work! request: a close up of a face. try to go to depth with it… i really think you would have great skills, if you would spend a little more time on your pics… also google some shading techniqes (spell? :S) for flash! i think some of your shades/highlights look a little odd! anyway: keep up the great work ;) |

art is communication. it’s very difficult, i must admit, to translate your intentions with most of this work. was it done with a mouse? the quality is quite basic, little to no color theory is being implemented…though the color work is possibly the most appealing aspect of the drawings. there is little clarity and no anatomy to the figures, the abstracts are basic in shape and form, reminiscent of scattered children’s puzzle pieces. light sources swell into shadow, which is completely illogical. first highlight, then mass tone, then shadow, then reflective light. this is how one develops form. reflective light is wholly absent, and the colors of forms lie completely unnaffected from eachother. drawings such as this would be valid if it were obvious that you had a thorough grasp of realism to work from. even simple drawings can possess intellectual aesthetic judgement. now that the true crit is out of the way here is my opinion on your work. dude fix yourself. leave your computer now and grab a book grab a couple different sized boxes make yourself a still life and draw because you obviously have no concept of anything related to art. lets go down the list one by one on each piece. 1 what light source ever in your life have you seen make that shadow. i have seen strong light sources but that is only from a spotlight in a pitch black room. 3 your man has baby arms. stand up. look at yourself, so your arms stop at your belly button? and what is he holding a bloody water bottle? 4 LOOK AT YOUR DAMN ARMS!!!!!!!!!!! 5 dumplings dont live in space and they are definitly not devine. 6 look at graffiti if you want to shade like that. 7 when you enter water of what i assume is water does one eye pop out of your head and float on the surface? 8 kudos on the trifoce in this one. 9 see all the 2 and 6…stick figure man is floating disattached from his chair. the chair doesnt work with the table because there is no outline on the chair, it looks like he is floating on a red and white carpet above a sand mass being followed by sticks. the foam on the water should see more yellow….PAGE 2 your ninja would have lost that battle because once he would have come down from the air ATTEMPTING to kill the person he would have failed seeing as how the sord is already falling out of his hand at the peak of his jump. sword no that shape. LOOK AT YOUR DAMN BODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…PAGE 3 you are horrible at type |

Must I follow you around chiding you for your “critique”? Seriously: <extremely_rude_sentence>JUST FRIGGIN STOP POSTING THIS JUNK! THIS IS WORSE THEN THE ACTUAL ART YOU’RE TRYING TO CRITIQUE!!!!</extremely_rude_sentence>if anybody is offended by the above sentence, I will remove it. |

EvlAzn, what you’re saying that art has to be “realistic” and all artworks must not defy the principles of physics. While some of Ogt2’s drawings are indeed a bit off-the-proportion-acceptability, it’s meant to be cartoony/abstract. |
Um… Yeah, EvlAzn. I got a few stuff to tell you… Is that enough for you? Thank you for your “Extremely constructive” review on my art. |
BET i just got served. dude let me tell you straight up i was trying to be nice but bump that im going all out now. you know what your stuff is S***. s*** is s*** no matter how you look at it. it is always brown lumpy and nasty so continue making whatever kind of art you want but when you actually know how to create a piece with some sort of substance then talk. you cant serve someone like that. you were just being defensive. thats not serving thats whining. if aliens were looking at your work, then maybe they would like your nonsensical notion of physics, but since we’re all human here, let’s just accept that something is a little off about your light. you can’t legitimately abstract something without knowing WHAT you’re abstracting. then you’re just making mistakes and pretending that it was purposeful for pure lack of knowledge. you don’t know what you’re doing unless you know how to do it, like previously mentioned. if grammer is the ONLY thing you can legitimately hate on in my posts, then you’ve just proven my point. |

I’m not sure why, but I’ve taken a liking to EA and therefore I’ll try to aid him in his defense this time. I think his first comment was an adequate review. The first half was great, but the 2nd half was a little personal but he means it in the best of intentions I’m sure. Now for his second post, the first part is personal whilst the 2nd part is more “critique-styled”. But perhaps his rudeness can be explained by the response he had to a post that obviously required him to spend time examining your work. We’re all entitled to our views and therefore in posting something on a public forum, you abide by the rule that it will be commented upon, wether positively or negatively. I’ve seen professional critiques about movies, music, art, etc. far worse than his, and yet still be largely legitimate. I believe that if he maintains his usual final positive comment or view he won’t be taken so harshly, but even so, we’re all entitled to our opinions. If you won’t allow the bad you should not be granted the good. ~ Kryn |

I guess your right Kryn. I guess I owe you an apology EvlAzn, but your review seemed strange. |
