HOW TO?:

This is how to animate. There are several programs out there, the best ones to get you started with animating are Pivot and Easytoon.

You can download them by following the links:

Gimp: Drawing & Animation tool

^^Nice and neat program, which gives you multiple brushes and effects. This program makes it easy to animate and draw.

Pivot V 3.1 Beta

^^Pivot lets you create stick figures and rearange them in different frames. You can have backgrounds, different colours and save your animations into GIF files and pivot files.
Easytoon

^^Easytoon lets you draw each frame in black and white and make it a GIF image or an Easytoon file.

Allegro Sprite Editor

^^Allegro is just like easytoon (draw all the separate frames) but with colour).

Pencil-VB Program

^^That is a drawing program, where you draw separate frames and you can export all the frames into different picture files, a swf movie or a MOV file.

You can’t make a GIF file out of it, but you can get all the separate picture files and arrange them to a GIF file with:

Gifted Motion

^^That is a program which you load pictures and arrange them on separate frames to export them to a GIF file. This program goes well with the Pencil VB program because once you make all the different pictures in Pencil VB you can arrange them to be animated in the Gifted Motion program.
