Evanescence = Whiny goth rock. Linkin Park = Mediocre nu-metal. Green Day = Good in the mid 90’s, not so with American Idiot. Simple Plan = Epic fail.

We actually should let this thread die. http://www.kongregate.com/forums/6 Or post here.

Actually I seem to remember liking some songs off Hybrid Theory okay, but I’m not sure if that’s because they were actually good or just because I was too young to know any better. Listening to them nowadays I think it’s probably the latter.

Actually, reanimation is a really good album.

Okay, I never said Linkin Park were BAD, just mediocre. Meteora was an alright album. Oh, and jacob, Linkin Park WERE nu-metal. Now they seem to be alternative, what with Minutes to Midnight. Nu-metal is a big sub genre, ranging from Papa Roach to Slipknot. But the genres in metal are so intertwined it’s hard to know what it what anymore.

This is what i dont understand about elvis. Why the hell do people listen to these old songs from like the 70s and 80s? One of my friends listens to the old michael jackson songs, for gods sake! I ask you whats so good about The Rolling Stones. They’re okay, but can’t compare to the new bands. They are nothing compared to today’s bands. The only reason they’re listened to is because there was nothing good to listen to like 1960. So… Thats all i have to say on the subject of this moron who calls himself the king of rock and roll. I know he’s dead. But people still call him that!

Now about actually GOOD bands from yesteryear. Guns n’ Roses. Started in ‘87. Beatles. Idk when they started. Scorpions. Forgot when they started. blue oyster cult is okay i guess. I guess thats about it, though, unless you like metallica and slayer, which i’m not a big fan of.

The good thing about The Rolling Stones is they are so diverse in their music choice. You might say you son’t like one song, but then find out you like another. And the fact they’ve been rocking (for the most part) since the 60s.

Elvis. He’s hit or miss. You either like him or you don’t. He’s got a diverse style as well. Actually, his gospel & soul music is some of the best. Although “A Little Less Conversation” is pretty awesome.

And Michael Jackson used to be good, before publicity took him over.

the stones are a little too different in all their songs. thats what i dont like about them. And they don’t have enough guitar solos.

Blink 182’s first couple albums were amazing but then they completely changed their sound and sucked.
