Metallica’s Cliff Burton. He died when their tour bus crashed in ‘86, just after the release of Master of Puppets. |
cliff burton kicks ass, but he’s not the best…not even close its all about FLEA, Victor Wooten, Steve Harris, Alexis Sklarevski all great players that really bring out that bass-y sound |
geddy lee (that guy from rush) les claypool, victor wooten. (also cliff burton was a badass) |
Felipe Andreoli from Angra. Also Tom Araya from Slayer gets points for lead singing too. |
Tom Araya Slayers Bassist Kicks ass!!! Listen to some stuff |
cliff burton…ive been learnin anesthesia lately…its CRAZY |

MFNDanzig basically just listed everyone i would have. Geddy steals my heart every time i listen to 21-12. Victor Wooten makes me want to throw away my life and just devote everything to learning the bass. sadly doing that would be bad for affording rent payments. |

Well I was at a As Tall As Lions concert and they’re bassist had a 5 minute solo, which I thought was amazing |
Dave Ellefson or Steve Harris |
he’s not the best but i think Ryan Martinie deserves mention. |
geddy lee rules |
I think that both Mr Bona and Mr Pastorius should be mentioned here, but when it comes to pure technical skill, I havent ever seen or heard anyone even close to Mr Wooten… |
Steve Vai’s bassist Billy Sheen |
ha bass.. |
