Please read this first post carefully before using the variables, it should answer every issue you might have with them. I won’t answer questions that are answered in this post already.

Important Stuff

General

Note: variables are case-sensitive.

This is a list containing every variable from the game. It was obtained by searching the entire game code for variables and removing surrounding data (I know it might sound easy, but I assure you it’s not. I almost gave up several times).

Variables are not always present when you check them, and they will return its state as “not defined”. This means you need to make the game create the variable before you can access it. Save variables are created as soon as you perform the related task, and after it is created it will always have a value. Root variables are also created when you need them, but they’re not stored anywhere, so they reset to not defined after you close the game.

Variables ending in “[]” are arrays. Arrays are variables that can hold more than 1 value (essentially the same as a vector or one-dimensional matrix). The size of some arrays is listed inside the brackets, more will be added later.

Variables with “(a–b)” means that there are several variables ranging from a to b. If the variable is “example(1-3)”, that means there are “example1”, “example2”, and “example3”.

Using in SSF

  • To access SSF, on the file select screen hold “Ctrl” and click on File 2. Press Ctrl + D to open variable editing.
  • SSF can’t handle root variables.
  • SSF can’t edit arrays.
  • Copy the variable and paste it in the “Save Var.” field. Insert desired value in “New” field. Don’t press enter. Click the green button instead.
  • Some variables might be not defined, in which case you can just assign a value to it if you need.
  • You can set a variable value to negative. You can also set its value to “infinity” by inserting “1e+999” in “New” field (the game might automatically decrease it to the variable cap).
  • In BA, holding “T” will increase your drop rate so that pretty much every loot will always drop (this was introduced in v1527).

Using in Technical Lights

  • Save variable: select program 1 or 8. Insert variable in “stringA” field. Set boolean1 to false. Set boolean2 to false if it’s not an array, set it to true if it is. Insert other values as needed.
  • Root Variables: select program 1 or 8. Insert variable in “stringA” field. Set boolean1 to true. Set boolean2 to false if it’s not an array, set it to true if it is. Insert other values as needed.
  • If a root variable returns “not defined”, try to open the feature it is from to get it in memory. If it doesn’t work, it might require a more specific action to work.
  • You can’t track root variables inside Arcade or FCG. Variables for these features are kept for completion (or if someone wants to look them up after leaving the feature).
  • You can check an entire array by setting boolean2 to false. But if the array is too long the game won’t be able to display it.

Actually some of the item names are not known. Like ChaoticFragment, You can’t know it is a material unless you have got one.
So for GM13:
Search for arena, then look up everything. choas is arenaChaoticFragment, Superior crafting material is arenaSuperiorCraft, Just one search. don’t be an lazy ass.

I have a hard time seeing what’s the problem with finding stuff since, at least in the SSF variables, almost everything has the name of the feature it’s from followed by an obvious name of what it’s used for. Everything is really descriptive, so unless you’re trying to find stuff that was made difficult to find on purpose (e.g. ascension related variables) I don’t see what’s the problem.

I guess I will change it so the descriptions are no longer mouse-over, so that you can find them with Ctrl+F, even though that will make it really ugly. Also need to add more descriptions.
