# Executive Summary
From the [v1664 list of changes](http://www.kongregate.com/forums/60-anti-idle-the-game/topics/212349-list-of-changes-current-version-1664b-jun-22-2014#posts-8129433):
- Monsters have a small chance to drop Monster Chips.
- When collected, Monster Chips will go to the new “Chips” inventory tab. Each monster has a unique Monster Chip.
- Monster Chips can be used for different purposes by clicking them in your inventory (like potions).
- The first 10 times you use a rare (yellow) Monster Chip of a certain monster, the Invisible Ally will be upgraded. Passive Abilities will be 10% more powerful every upgrade, meaning they will be twice as effective after the Invisible Ally is fully upgraded!
- Starting from the 11th use, you can use Monster Chips for 2 different purposes:
- When used in Danger Zone (HC + Apoc), you will summon an ULTRA form of the monster, which is extremely powerful but also very rewarding and adds 1,000 to that monster’s kill count! Epic (green) and ultra (red) chips can be used to summon even stronger ULTRA forms that give better rewards and higher killcount.
- Or, you can use it in any other zone to add 100 to that monster’s kill count. You can also use epic (green) chips to add 1,000 kill count or ultra (red) chips to add 10,000 kill count!
- When you kill the ULTRA form of a monster, the Invisible Ally will turn into an ULTRA ALLY and it will get an additional Passive Ability, and the other Passive Abilities will also be improved even further!!
- You need to master the Invisible Ally of a monster before using its Monster Chip.
- Like other items, Monster Chips can also be sold for some Pixels.

## Monster Chips
# Types and Uses
Monster chips appear as loot drops with a colored box around them (similar to weapons, enhancers, etc.). Once picked up, Monster chips go into your inventory in the Chips section. Monster chips have a 100% chance to be magnetized so long as you have a form of autoloot (Dark Ruler, maxed Gem of Constancy, Loot Magnet buff, or Ultimate set bonus). They also have a 30% chance to move toward you when they appear, so you’ll still get some while idling without autoloot.
There are three types of Monster Chips: rare (yellow), epic (green), and ultra (red).
**Rare (yellow) monster chips**
- Rarity: the most common type of monster chip.
- Drop rate: mostly follows the same rules as invisible allies in terms of drop rates, with some additional caveats. See Drop Rates section below.
- Uses:
- Upgrade the corresponding Invisible Ally by `+1`. You can only do this if the Invisible Ally is mastered and not yet upgraded to full (`+10` or ultra). More info in the Ultra Allies section.
- Summon the Ultra-1 form of the monster. You can only do this if the corresponding Invisible Ally is already upgraded to full (`+10` or ultra) and you are in the Danger Zone area with Hardcore and Apocalypse modes enabled. More info in the Ultra Monsters section.
- Add 100 to the corresponding monster’s kill count. You can only do this if the corresponding Invisible Ally is already upgraded to full (`+10` or ultra) and you are NOT in the Danger Zone area or you don’t have Hardcore and Apocalypse modes enabled. If the monster has no ULTRA form it adds 500 kills instead.
**Epic (green) monster chips**
- Rarity: rarer than rare (yellow) monster chips.
- Drop rate: must meet additional requirements before they can drop. Once the conditions are met, they drop with about 1/20th the chance of a rare (yellow) monster chip from epic monsters and 1/50th the chance from rare monsters. See Drop Rates section below. Having Gem of Good Luck equipped increases this chance to bit over 25%.
- Uses:
- Upgrade the corresponding Invisible Ally instantly to `+10`. You can only do this if the Invisible Ally is mastered and not yet upgraded to full (`+10` or ultra). More info in the Ultra Allies section.
- Summon the Ultra-2 form of the monster. You can only do this if the corresponding Invisible Ally is already upgraded to full (`+10` or ultra) and you are in the Danger Zone area with Hardcore and Apocalypse modes enabled. More info in the Ultra Monsters section.
- Add 1,000 to the corresponding monster’s kill count. You can only do this if the corresponding Invisible Ally is already upgraded to full (`+10` or ultra) and you are NOT in the Danger Zone area or you don’t have Hardcore and Apocalypse modes enabled. If the monster has no ULTRA form it adds 5,000 kills instead.
**Ultra (red) monster chips**
- Rarity: rarest type of monster chips.
- Drop rate: must meet very specific conditions before they can drop. Once the conditions are met, they drop with about 1/50th the chance of an epic (green) monster chip, or about 1/1,000th the chance of a rare (yellow). See Drop Rates section below. Equipping Gem of Good Luck increases this chance to about 1/10th of an epic chip and about 1/40th of a rare chip.
- Uses:
- Upgrade the corresponding Invisible Ally instantly to ultra. You can only do this if the Invisible Ally is mastered and not yet upgraded to ultra. More info in the Ultra Allies section.
- Summon the Ultra-3 form of the monster. You can only do this if the corresponding Invisible Ally is already upgraded to ultra and you are in the Danger Zone area with Hardcore and Apocalypse modes enabled. More info in the Ultra Monsters section.
- Add 10,000 to the corresponding monster’s kill count. You can only do this if the corresponding Invisible Ally is already upgraded to ultra and you are NOT in the Danger Zone area or you don’t have Hardcore and Apocalypse modes enabled. If the monster has no ULTRA form it adds 50,000 kills instead.

## Ultra Monsters
# Summoning
First, you must upgrade the corresponding Invisible Ally to `+10` (or ultra). Then, go to the Danger Zone area with Hardcore and Apocalypse modes enabled and use a monster chip. Using a rare (yellow) chip will summon an Ultra-1, using an epic (green) chip will summon an Ultra-2, and using an ultra (red) chip will summon an Ultra-3.
# Rewards for Defeating
Defeating any Ultra will upgrade the corresponding Invisible Ally to ultra (if it is not already). See Ultra Allies section for more info.
Defeating an Ultra-1 will add 1,000 to the kill count of the corresponding monster. Defeating an Ultra-2 will add 10,000. Defeating an Ultra-3 will add 100,000.
In addition, Ultra monsters reward more exp, coins, and pixels. See Stat Boosts below.

# Skills
All Ultras get the “ULTRA” enemy skill, which gives it all of the possible skills (soap, poison, weaken, blind, slow, stun, potion block, zombify, health drain, mana drain, attack/defense/accuracy/evasion up).
**Ultra-1’s** get “skillLevel=5”.
**Ultra-2’s** get “skillLevel=10”.
**Ultra-3’s** get “skillLevel=15”.
skillLevel determines the strength of health drain, mana drain, and attack/defense/accuracy/evasion up skills.
skillLevel also determines the _duration_ of soap, poison, weaken, blind, slow, stun, potion block, and zombify skills. The strength of these skills is fixed (not variable).
# Stat Boosts
All Ultras are guaranteed epic, can’t evolve, and can’t explode.
**Ultra-1’s** get these stat boosts:
```
level = Math.floor(level * 2) + 1000;
hp = Math.max(Math.floor(hp * 5),285714.28571428574);
attack = Math.floor(attack * 2) + 66666.66666666667;
defense = Math.floor(defense * 2);
accuracy = Math.floor(accuracy * 3) + 666.6666666666666;
evasion = Math.floor(evasion * 3) + 666.6666666666666;
exp = Math.floor(exp * 10); coin = Math.floor(coin * 10);
pixel = Math.floor(pixel * 10);
rangeDamage = Math.floor(rangeDamage * 2);
```
**Ultra-2’s** get these stat boosts:
```
level = Math.floor(level * 5) + 2500;
hp = Math.max(Math.floor(hp * 25),28571428.57142857);
attack = Math.floor(attack * 3) + 666666.6666666666;
defense = Math.floor(defense * 3);
accuracy = Math.floor(accuracy * 5) + 6666.666666666667;
evasion = Math.floor(evasion * 5) + 6666.666666666667;
exp = Math.floor(exp * 50);
coin = Math.floor(coin * 50);
pixel = Math.floor(pixel * 50);
rangeDamage = Math.floor(rangeDamage * 3);
```
**Ultra-3’s** get these stat boosts:
```
level = 9001;
hp = Math.max(Math.floor(hp * 100),2857142857.142857);
attack = Math.floor(attack * 5) + 6666666.666666667;
defense = Math.floor(defense * 5);
accuracy = Math.floor(accuracy * 10) + 66666.66666666667;
evasion = Math.floor(evasion * 10) + 66666.66666666667;
exp = Math.floor(exp * 250);
coin = Math.floor(coin * 250);
pixel = Math.floor(pixel * 250);
## Ultra Allies
# Upgrading Allies
Once an IA is mastered, you can use monster chips to upgrade it. You can use a rare (yellow) monster chip to upgrade the IA by `+`1 or an epic (green) monster chip to upgrade the IA directly to `+`10. Each upgrade increases the IA's passive abilities by `+`10%, up to a max of `+`100% (or double) effectiveness at `+`10.
Once an IA is at `+`10, you can then upgrade it to ultra by defeating the ultra form of the corresponding monster (see Ultra Monsters section). Alternatively, you can use an ultra (red) monster chip to upgrade an IA directly to ultra (without needing to upgrade it to +10 first).
Ultra IAs get a `+`150% bonus to passive abilities and also gain a third passive ability! Some IAs do not have a third passive ability, but they still get the `+`150% bonus to their existing passive skills. These IAs correspond to the monsters with no ultra form (see Monsters with No Ultra Form). When upgrading, these IAs skip the `+`10 state and go immediately to ultra status.
# Unlocked Abilities
This is a list of the abilities that each IA gains as a third passive ability when it reaches ultra state. Some IAs do not have a third passive ability, more information about this above.
# List of All Abilities
[Sortable list of Invisible Allies abilities](http://crazye97.blogspot.com/). (thanks, crazye97!). This also includes the ability to indicate upgraded allies and sort with the bonuses to passive abilities.
[Full list of stats and abilities for all monsters and their respective invisible allies](http://tiny.cc/aitg-bestiary-v1664). No adjustments are made for upgraded allies, so you’ll have to do the math yourself.
`incDt ();` is a mistake, don’t worry about it. `ultraCount` increments every frame. Information on `skillLevel` can be found in the `takeDamage` function, I believe.
Thanks, Tukkun! I’ll make the relevant updates above.
Now that SC is much harder, is there any way we could change leveling invisible allies? For instance, for the lower levels instead of having a 1 level per kill cap, make it 2-3 per kill depending on what you’re fighting etc?
[This](http://crazye97.blogspot.com) is a sortable list of all Invisible Allies and abilities, and can be sorted with chips added to IAs.
EDIT: You said it much better than early-morning-no-sleep me. Thanks.
Chips **do** drop in ED. Maybe rarely, but they do. I think it’s changed with an update. [Pic:](http://prntscr.com/3x212s)
I’ve also had them drop in SC. And I’m told they drop in TH now.
Is there any place they don’t?
havent seen them drop in DP, but i have seen them drop in SC. in MBR, SC, DP, and TH they just drop at the zone IA drop rate
allyDropChance = \_root.areaAllyChance;
else { allyDropChance = allyDropChance / 100; } chipDropChance = allyDropChance / 10;
so it looks like they SHOULD drop in all those places…just rarely
allyDropChance in those zones…
DP = .2
MBR = .1
Endless = 1
SC = 2
TH = 1
so … you’re saying it might be possible to get the ascendant chips in HC WM impossible ascension too?
btw working on a chipchance optimiser, so info like that’s is welcome
No, because The Ascendant doesn’t drop anything.
A great addition to this thread would be actually explaining what using chips or making an IA “ultra” does to its passive bonuses? Like statistically
Does the List of Changes notes not detail it enough? (Besides the ULTRA adding an extra 50% of base stats.)
(For pw – the code has changed for chip drop.)
We still need to list what all the “new abilities” are for ULTRA, and I still think its a good idea in a guide to include info relevant to the subject even if it does exist someplace else. Makes it easier to find the info
One strange thing I noticed from a casual perusal of the list of IAs is that now CHAOS and Triangle are actually tied for giving the most Exp… pretty weird. And Fairygodmother gives the highest spawn rate of +100% when ULTRA’d.
Good points, I’ll add some info. EDIT: done. The full list is really long, though…
Thanks, code snippet updated. Still need to go back and explain it so people can actually understand…
beta version of chiprate optimiser
lots of the IA’s you might want to look up are exceptions … and aren’t properly working because of that
EDIT: all of the things mentioned below are added in above version, i haven’t made a distinction chips yet, also i won’t add ultra-drop
also: math random is from 0 to 1
Hope the following helps phantom.
chipDropChance is the enemies chance of dropping an ally divided by 10.
If you are in Hardcore then the chipDropChance gets multiplied by 2.
If you are in worstmoon then the chipDropChance gets multiplied by 3.
If you are in apocalypse mode then chipDropChance gets multiplied by 2
If the Monster can evolve then chipDropChance gets multiplied by 10.
The following lines check which chip rarity you will get:
Math.random() gets called every time a check is made.
Value range for Math.random() 0 – 1. \< Thanks darkmarty
itemToGet = 0 No chip
itemToGet = 1 Monster Chip R is dropped.
itemToGet = 2 Monster Chip E is dropped.
itemToGet = 3 Monster Chip U is dropped.
If Math.random() is less than chipDropChance and monster is not tamed then itemToGet equals 0.
**Ultra Drop Rate**
If the monster is ultra and Math.random() is less than 0.25. Else try the Epic drop rate check.
If Math.random() is less than 0.0001 and the monster is an Ultra2 form then itemToGet equals 3.
Else if Math.random() is less than 0.01 then itemToGet equals 2.
Else then itemToGet equals 1.
**Epic Drop Rate**
If the monster is an epic monster and Math.random() is less than 0.1. Else try the normal drop rate check.
If Math.random() is less than 0.0001 and you have killed 1,000,000 of that monster then itemToGet equals 3.
Else if Math.random() is less than 0.01 and you have killed 10,000 of that monster then itemToGet equals 2.
Else then itemToGet equals 1.
**Normal Drop Rate**
If none of the above and Math.random() is less than 0.05.
If Math.random() is less than 0.001 and you have killed 100,000 of that monster then itemToGet equals 2.
Else if Math.random() is less than 0.1 then itemToGet equals 1.
edit: Took a look at beta version of your chiprate optimizer and currently I am finding it hard to read with all of the colors/lack of excel boxes. Looking forward though to what it will look like with final version. :)
