I don't know if this is a Firefox update (my current version 56.0.2 (64-bit)) or if it's the newest update to Adobe Flash, but the game is lagging for me again.
I'm noticing lag in two places that it never lagged before.
1.) When I try to give an item to the museum. When CTRL + Left Clicking, the game always freezes for a bout a second and the game always freezes again when I put the item in the *Contribute Item* box.
2.) When an enemy dies and multiple drops (items) come off of it. The game sometimes freezes completely for about a half a second.
I'm not noticing lag in any other areas yet, but I don't know what the cause is.

Something that I did was moved from Firefox to Chrome, and it immediately slowed my fan usage down and increased framerate. Maybe its worth a try to switch browsers.

I would have switched but Chrome does two things that I won't put up with.
One, Chrome handles Flash saves differently than Firefox. In many cases I have not been able to find my save files (.sol files) for Flash games in Chrome where I can find them in Firefox.
**Chromes Path:**
C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Pepper Data\Shockwave Flash\WritableRoot\#SharedObjects
**Firefox Path**
C:\Users\[UserName]\\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects
Sometimes the game just won't have a .sol in the path for Chrome. I suppose it might be else where, but I never have trouble finding the .sol in Firefox.
Two, although not extremely difficult, Chrome has taken more steps in disabling Flash and making it harder to enable than Firefox has. I know Flash is being phased out in a few years, but as far as I'm concerned Flash is basically dead to Chrome all ready. I'm not going through the extra trouble of enabling Flash on Chrome, just to have to re-enable on the next Chrome update or to run into issues finding my saves.
It's just my personal preference, but it feels more like a trade-off than a fix for me to switch to Chrome.

Well, if you can't find the location of your savefile, then you should open up the game in Chrome and create a save in the game (click Manual Save for convenience). Once you do this, you should be able to find the location of the Chrome savefile and will be able to transfer over.

Okay, if I can at least save then Chrome is looking like the better option.

You can always just search your C drive for antiIdle_file0.sol for the filepath, then save a shortcut to the folder.
