Why when I try to make an account my email saying it is already in use I didn’t get a confirmation email?
If you know the pass to the first account that you used your email for, log into that and it should give you an option to re-send the confirmation email. Otherwise, you will have to use another email.

The same email cannot be used for two different accounts, it sounds as if you have another account that has that email registered to it.
