An Imperial soldier looks into a large pit, where it is too deep to see anything. An eyeball floats in the middle of darkness and looks back at him. He is unable to move. He feels that the pit is dragging him into itself. He feels powerless and confused. He struggles to break the bound, but fails to do so. He slowly reels towards and throws himself into the pit. The eye was nowhere to be seen….

Background: Vidar is norse god avanging the death of odin at the Ragnarok (fate of the gods) by killing the wulf Fenrir. Same as Vali he stands for balance that has to be reestablished before end can come and something new can emerge; (as a consequence of it) Vidar survives Ragnarok.
Vidar can be translated as „wide ruler“, but is actually composed with the words for forrest and warrior. As a person of vengeance he might be portrayed as a silent character.

Backstory/Description: Lord Alexander was horrified to see a massive beast leading a bloodthirsty horde toward his unit, its bulky carapace absorbing the fire intended for its brood. He immediately ordered all artillery units to fire upon the monster, “Take down their shield and the rest will be vulnerable!”
While the behemoth’s enormous tusk-like mandibles hewed through Alexander’s ranks, leaving soldiers maimed and dismembered in the wake of its relentless charge, the Imperial general noticed perhaps the most frightening thing of all — his cannon fire seemed to have no effect on the creature. The blood of his fallen troops restored the beast’s thick hide almost as quickly as it was damaged.
Alexander realized that if he had any hope of toppling the vampiric colossus, he would have to prevent any more blood from being spilled. He ordered his barrage tanks forward and called for air support. This was going to be a long battle.

Backstory: Midas, the fabled king, that turned everything to gold, that he touched. He weakens his enemies, for they fear to touch him in combat. When his enemies attack him, they also suffer from his touch. His rage for being cheated and cursed keep him alive and regenerate him, so he can make others suffer, just as he does.
Art Description: Main colour of the Card should be white (righteous) with sprinkles of gold. The actual Commander looks like an aged King with white hair and a white beard (sorta like Theoden in Lord of the Rings, before being healed, but not THAT bad :), just as an example). He doesn’t need a crown, but he can have one (pure gold, very pompous of course). His look and impression are sad and/or enraged too, with his eyes glowing golden.
Sidenote: May as well be imperial, but imps already have counter and refresh commander, so i thought righteous might fit. Woulda picked weaken 2, but that’d be too powerful, so weaken 1 should be fine.

Description: I tried deliberately to find a combination of skills that doesn’t actually exist yet, or not a lot;
There’s plenty of suggestions for refresh fliers already, though.^^
This card would purify it’s brethren by means of it’s own sacrifice; Though i wonder if Cleanse is applied before regenerate. Will it be able to cleanse itself and thus become resistant to disease? Might be worth a try.
- Disease adds to the uniqueness of the skill combo and would make it an especially devious unit, able to counter itself if cleanse works before regen. . If it does, it might be more balanced to increase the waittime to 2 and regen to 4.
Alternatively, counter would be a more defensive skill, but it could also be replaced by weaken or enfeeble, either normal or on death or on play.
Backstory: Petrisis walked through the remains of the battle, the spread of the blight tickling his feet as it slowly consumed the fallen. How dare those fools attack him, they deserved nothing more than to fuel the wrath of the bloodthirsty, to nourish his brethren or to serve under his command.
It was a tough battle, the raiders brought noxious chemicals to weaken his troops, aiming to inhibit their regeneration; they were close to stopping his advance, with a particularly distinguished soldier felling his underlings with swift attacks, never to rise again. It was frustrating to watch, but when the raiders struck one of the vines, their fate turned; Vicious fuilds sprawled out of the vines, neutralizing the devious poison they had used, and then it turned and hissed at them, giving them a taste of their own medicine…
Petrisis gently tapped a tendril grazing his hip, and went on to oversee the consuming of his enemy. They wouldn’t try that again.
Art Description: Vines and tendrils oozing with a fluid slightly reflecting the light. A mix of the Blightbloom background and Glaive, if you will. Depending on whether it has ‘counter’ or ‘disease’ (or any alternative offensive skill), it might be clad in spiky tendrils or surrounded by a foul fog or blood gist.

Backstory/Description: A battle-line gleaming in perfect white and gold is an intimidating sight, but the Righteous armor and machinery are often scarred from battle with the unclean. The Order of Quartermasters ensure that each unit returns to battle at maximum efficiency and radiance, and the Royal Quartermasters attend personally to the Righteous elite.
Art Description: In the foreground, a robed (or lightly-armored) and cloaked human figure, carrying a high-tech melee weapon (like the sword that the Knight card carries). He could brandish the weapon, or be working on it (wiping the blade) or possibly kneeling to present it to someone off-screen, etc. His attire should be flawless even though there may be signs of battle around. In the background could be some sort of encampment (structures, vehicles) or battlefield (smog, wrecks). Maybe something like a standard with the Purity logo, or a pantheon spire should be visible to imply presence of elite Righteous.
Notes: I see this card on roughly the same power level as Hierophant. For something more powerful I would probably improve Attack, Health or Cooldown by 1 point.

Backstory/Description: Voron was created by the Xenos to be a stealthy killer, dealing a quick, fatal blow to an enemy. It is used by the Xeno as an assassin, or a frontline warrior, spreading destruction and death throughout the battlefield. Its claws are designed to slice through the thickest of hides, and are tipped with a deadly toxin, which prevents the enemy from recovering from their wounds.
Art Description: Voron is a sleek, reptilian Xeno with black, smooth scales and slashes in its skin from previous battles. It has long, sharp claws and stands upright at about six feet. Voron has slits for eyes, and a gapping jaw of razor-sharp fangs. I imagine Voron to be on a dark, rugged battlefield, cutting down the enemy soldiers, with leagues of other Xenos fighting alongside it.

One of the test tubes is broken, the substance is leaking onto the floor. One of the scouts makes contact with the substance and was quickly dying.
After those events, the Raiders have used the substance as biological weapons.

Backstory / Description: Bloodthirsty geneticists have found a way to use the Blight to alter the natural vegetation to serve their needs. Mutated plants spread uncontrollably across the barren landscape providing cover for Bloodthirsty advance units and consuming everything in their path. (Good opportunity to bring back The Butcher – the first ‘real’ commander many of us played with – as the Bloodthirsty geneticist).
Art: Gross blight-covered vine-like plants (lots of those veiny looking things and plenty of oozing juices/fluids) with maybe a venus flytrap mouth or 2 (dripping teeth and stuff) covering a building would be best.
protect all Bloodthirsty might be overpowered (not sure how this would playtest) – if so, change to ‘protect Bloodthirsty 2’.
