I don’t understand what the problem with a cap is unless you want to stockpile, which is what we’re trying to avoid. This seems still overly complicated.

Universal shard is definitely what players are asking for, but I am sure no player is asking to be force to buy the first of the three wave of mini expansion.
By setting a cap of 20, you are essentially saying “screw you players, I am gonna release a 90 card set and release in mini expansion of 30. Also I will make you noob players waste your precious shards on the first two wave with total crap cards because you can only stockpile a maximum of 20 shards. LoL dumbtard asking for universal shards, this is how I am going to troll everyone”
So do not avoid my question, did the mini expansion not occur to you when you are thinking no stockpiling or was everything going as planned for you guys?

Shard drop rate is too low. Universal shards just makes it slightly less painful for free players, while they are falling further and further behind.
If you do want a cap, introduce universal shards first and add the cap later, so we can buy old packs with our stockpile instead of being forced to buy crappy mini-packs.

I don’t care about the cap, don’t know why people would be stockpiling shards. I personally never have more than 11 shards of a kind.

No stockpiling of shard goes against the idea of mini expansion letting players choose which of the 3 set they want to open, did you know that? Guess not :(

+1. Best solution because a) shard cap will not be needed and b) Players would also craft older packs rather than only the newest pack everytime.

Good idea for me.
Cap is totally no problem, most people use shards instantly when get 10 of them.
The question is when it will be implemented (additional question if it is worth to keep occupation shards for next minipack or spend it faster not to get number of shards higher than cap)? ;)

I totally agree with this idea.My only problem with cap is,what if someone has more shards than the cap when it is released? Even if he/she instantly spents shards,someone might have 9 terminus,9 awakening and 9 occupation shards when you release it,meaning he/she loses 7 shards.When you make this upgrade,transform everyone’s current shard to universal shards without cap and then apply the cap in 3 days time.This will give everyone time to spend their extra shards above the cap.

You won’t. Shard quantity over the cap won’t be deleted. Players with 20+ Shards just won’t get new Shards out of Daily Chance / Quest. So if all shards are transfered into one Universal Shard you just have to spend 10 of them (you will have 17 then) to get new Shards as every other players does. Synapticon says it in his first post.

@^ There is still a 50% chance to lose one shard from daily login if you login on a “new” day after Dev made the change.

As pretty much everything is better than what we have right now. Still too quick with releasing new expansions and too little chance to get stuff by playing instead of buying.

For the pesimistic players; C’mon guys they are gaining life with this game not for only “FUN”. Still they are triying to make this game more playable for non-Wb’ers like me. With that case i am totally agreed with Universal shard thing. Cos, exhausted about collecting 346987394867 diffrent shard. So pls, when you are commenting think about that.

With few calculations on the new , you take 16 shards less than now… so about 2 shards less in a day…
It’s not a problem gain different shards, but the slow rate to drop them… like terminus shards… now you’ll never take metalworks if you’re not lucky
Ok, you can take the pack that you want… but if you wanna take all the three packs, you’ll lose at the end! (if you wanna zarak+metalworks+…)
So for me, we need a % more high…
For cap: for me is good for the reason told by synapticon… (one man take metalworks and start to preserve shards… another don’t take it and don’t preserve…so…)
I want a more balance situation… not a man lev. 50 with metalworks that kill a lev. 200 with spire raider… so devs works on that.
