Yes, I went through the basics, and nothing helped. Everything is up to date, I have ADBP but it is disabled for KONG. I have never had this issue on any game until the 2 most recent challenges.

I will try to completely disable ADP from chrome setting and report back if that fixes it, but that would be a nuisance if I have to do that every time.

Nope complete disabling had same results on love, white screen.

Mission in Space : the lost colony and now Love will not load for me.

Mis:TLC will load then after hitting start goes to a black screen.

Love just stays at a white screen.

This is in EVERY browser I have. IE, FF, and Chrome. I run Win7 Pro. Seems to be the games that have challenges.

I’m not getting lag, but I’m constantly being timed out today. Sometimes chat will load, but the game will not. Other times the game will load, but chat keeps “loading.” Sometimes Kong will time out before loading.

I can only get on Kong about every 3 out of 4 attempts. Otherwise, I’m getting timed out.

EVERY other site I access on a regular basis is loading without any problems.

I’ve got Firefox (up-to-date) and have turned off ad-blockers. Problems continue.

I also use Chrome with ad-block turned off, but problem(s) persist.

Getting pretty IRATE that I can’t access the games I PAY and use kreds for.

What’s up with this, Kong?

Over the last few days (perhaps 3 or 4) I’ve been unable to chat successfully (and therefore can’t mod either). When I enter some text in the chat box I can wait a minute (or more) for my text to appear. I did install Adblock Plus a little while ago but have removed it now – it makes no difference, I’m still lagging. Before I removed it I did try allowing Kong to show me ads, but that made no difference either. And I have Kong+ anyway.

I also installed Chrome fairly recently, although I only used it once. Uninstalling that has made no difference.

Last night I was getting repeated disconnects from chat too. I’m not having performance problems on the rest of Kong, or on other sites.

Any ideas?

I’m running Vista 64-bit and Firefox. Everything is up-to-date and fully patched. I also tend to play puzzle games and they aren’t performance intensive. I have cleared cookies/cache several times.

Update: It looks like the culprit might be Internet Explorer. I tried a test run opening my Flash shared folder, running and saving a game on Kong, then opening and closing various programs. When I opened and closed IE the folder got wiped. I checked the IE settings and it was set to wipe all browsing history on close.

I don’t quite understand how this was wiping my games as I never use IE but after I changed the setting to NOT wipe browser history the saved games have been preserved.

I have a sneaky suspicion that although I don’t run IE, Windows was occasionally wiping my Flash folders because IE was set to do that…but do I sound too paranoid?

I still don’t have an explanation as to why Flash keeps resetting the amount of storage allocated to Kongregate.com.

I’ll add my voice here – I too turned off Adblock on Kong about a week ago, and still get the annoying accusey-banners-of-shame.

If it helps, I still don’t actually see any ads for the most part, probably because my ISP sucks and ad hosts tend to take too long to serve up their content (thus it times out before they fully load) – You might want to point out to your programmers that failure to complete a round trip to a lagged crappy ad server does NOT equal “blocking” ads.

And I’ll also second JanSi1 – Google/facebook/twitter/plaxo tracking bugs do NOT equal “ads”, and don’t even try to sell that particular pig-in-a-poke to us as “for the devs”. If I used Kong anonymously, you’d have a point; As I always log in, you don’t need to sneakily track me, you can already associate everything I do (on Kong) with my account!

Fix it pls, i’m only blocking facebook and google and see the warnings.
And stop blocking both is the same like remove antivir or firewall… stupid ;)

If you are playing on a different machine, then you should be able to transfer your saved game from another computer. Here’s a nice tutorial on how to find a saved game:

And as for the issues send a pm to kix explaining the problem or an email (probably more effective) and wait to see if the issue resolves itself or If kix comes and solves it. I recently had the same problem but it was solved in ~48 hours
