Problem With Flash Graphics Glitch

Hey all,

For a while now, I’ve had this strange little bug relating to nearly every flash game I play anywhere. This was particularly annoying playing DTD for them badges.

I haven’t found any information relating to this bug, so hopefully someone here has an idea.

The top is an unmodified picture of various games, the bottom highlights where the glitches are.

They generally appear around most moving objects, but not all, and someones nonmoving objects. As you can see, the weird bug is a transparent, rectangular screen behind some objects. Sometimes they flicker, sometimes not. I’m almost certain that they represent the bounding box of the objects

AMD Athlon XP 2200+

NVIDIA GeForce MX 440

Firefox 2.0.0.7 (Appears in IE too)

Flash 9.0.47.0

(Yeah, some of my cards are a bit outdated, but the glitches didn’t appear before with the same stats)

Any help with this would be very much appreciated.

Looks like people can see Flash Symbols ZOMG!

your display settings are probably set to 16bit. Try setting them to 24bit or truecolor mode.
See if that helps.

Yup, when I look at those screenshots, 16-bit color depth is what comes to mind. Make sure your system is set to the highest color quality.
