Firefox totally melting down?

The past two days Firefox has been virtually unusable. The Kong chat window has TRIPLED in size, if I chat ingame – like in Redshift – then it is ‘locked’ into that chat and I cannot post on Kong chat w/o refreshing screen. All rendering, no matter what game, is super slow. Chrome still works like a champ and I NEVER use IE.

I’ve found the newer versions of Firefox to be more and more unstable as they release newer versions. They insist on making Firefox compatible with every OS and processor type under the sun which leads to a lack of actual quality. If another browser works for you, that is great.

Which version of Firefox are you using?

Not sure if this is related or not, but I also use FF (12.0) and recently I’ve had a lot of problems with badges not being awarded, and “best so far” not being updated as I go. I wonder if this is the same problem?

I, as well, have not been awarded badges for the past two days now. Very frustrating.

I stopped using Firefox when it kept telling me to install the latest flash player. I already had the latest flash player, and it worked fine with IE, Opera, and chrome. No matter how many times I uninstalled (Adobe software being a li’l renowned for leaving bits of old versions all over the place) and reinstalled both flash player, and Firefox, Firefox just wouldn’t get it. It was prohibitive – forced me to use a different browser in the end. To be honest, the problem was so ridiculous that I’d never go back. It wouldn’t surprise me if the above probs are to do with Firefox.

The Kongregate servers have been very wonky for the past 3 days. I have heard it has been fixed now. You can send in a ticket for your badges.

That happens to me too on occasion. If I recall correctly, you have more than one version of Flash Player installed and Firefox will track the oldest version and yell at you if you have it. Sometimes issues occur where upgrading Flash Player doesn’t replace an older version. I wish you the best of luck in figuring it out.

I can’t get game chat to load in firefox. It works in IE, but I hate IE, and I use a greasemonkey script for Dawn of the Dragons that’s pretty freakin helpful to the game. Any idea’s on how to fix it? Basically the green plug stays red in firefox.

This may be a result of Adobe’s new “protected mode” thing they have going on.
