I have a strange problem lately: I can’t connect to chat on most of the games (and following this I can’t earn badges/rewards). The plug icon on the corner is red and when I check “Chat” it shows only “Game info loaded” (or something like this). This problem seems to be spreading- at first it was only in “Alice is dead Episode 3” and “Chibi-knight” but now it’s in most of games I play. Only multiplayer games work normally. I’ve tried different browsers, turning off/changing settings of firewall, anti-virus and Add-block, reinstaling flash- nothing worked. Anyone else has that problem (or had and knows the solution)?

If your badges aren’t registering, keep in mind that you can request the staff to manually give you the reward. To do so, click the “achievements” tab, select “report missing achievement” on the lower part of the box, upload a screenshot to the report (You don’t need to upload it to an image sharing website; it directly uploads to Kongregate) and describe what is seen on the screenshot in the text box if you think clarification is needed. As for the red plug problem, it seems like an unusual issue (Connection issues shouldn’t be specific to only one game type), so contacting support@kongregate.com for direct assistance might be a good idea.

See if this post helps any as well.

@MadJedi: I know about reporting missing badges and it might be a good solution. I’m rather concerned about more and more games with that issue each day. I must admit though, I haven’t thought about reporting it yet- first I wanted to fix it myself, as I thought it might be something on my end.

@Zshadow: I’ve tried everything in that post. Nothing worked so far.

Well that’s pretty odd. Do you have another computer in the same household you can try connecting from?

This can help us narrow down the source of the problem.

No, I don’t. But I think, I could ask my sister to log-in on my accout and try to connect to one of “red-plug games”.

EDIT: It’s most likely something on my end after all- my sis told me that on her computer (my account) “Chibi knight” is connected, plug green.

Hmm, which web browser are you currently using?

Go to the top left corner and click “Firefox” then “Options”. Go to Advanced → Network → Settings. Try switching to “No proxy”, save, and see if that helps. If not, experiment around with the different options (besides “Manual proxy configuation”) and see if that changes anything.

If that’s not working, does clearing your recent cookies/cache help any?

Also, do you have the correct time and date on your computer?

Still no effect. Cache/cookies cleared, time and date correct.

EDIT: Case closed, I think. Mozilla, Opera and IE still have the same problem but on Chrome everything works normally. Thank you for help.
