Are you using Chrome? If so, it’s caused by its new version which doesn’t automatically transfer sol. files to the Chrome Flash folder. To transfer them manually, go to “computer”, click the main drive (Typically C) and type “chat.kongregate.com” in the search bar. A few folders should appear. Click the one saying “[…]AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects[…], copy its content (To copy everything, press down the shift button, click the first item and last item without releasing, right-click and select “copy”) search for “chat.kongregate.com” again, pick the folder saying “[…]AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\PepperData\Shockwave Flash[…]” and paste the content of the first folder to this one.

The right one should have a hashtag before “Chat.kongregate.com” (#chat.kongregate.com) in the search results. These steps will transfer files to the new browser version but they shouldn’t do anything to Flash’s performances. Try to uninstall and reinstall your Flash player to see if the lag issue gets fixed.

When i uninstall it, it does uninstall, but for some reason when i re-install Adobe Flash Player, it says i already have it in my chrome and it says “Your Google Chrome browser already includes Adobe® Flash® Player built-in. Google Chrome will automatically update when new versions of Flash Player are available.”So it wont let me install it.

There’s a likelihood your storage limit settings were set back to default with this new update, which may slow down some games. To increase storage limit, right-click on the game screen, click “settings”, go to the tab with the file icon and drag the bar right to set the limit to unlimited.

I forgot to mention that.

If it works well for other browsers, the issue might be Chrome’s integrated Flash plugin. Fortunately, it’s possible to disable it so Chrome works with directly your Flash Player like other browsers do instead of the plugin. To do so, open up another tab and type “about:plugins” in the search bar. You should see three Flash files in the list, disable the one that says something like “C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\21.0.1180.60\PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll”. When it’s done, close the session and re-open it. From now on, Chrome should work from your Flash Player. On the downside, this also disables Chrome’s automatic Flash update meaning you’ll have to do it manually from here.

I’m having the same problem with save files but can’t find the folders to copy over. I’m using Windows XP and searching chat.kongregate.com brings up no results.

Window’s search companion is set not to show hidden folders by default which is why “chat.kongregate.com”, being a hidden folder, might not be showing up. To see hidden items, go to “my computer”, select “tools” on the top of the window and click “folder options…” in the drop down menu. When the folder options menu loaded, click the “view” tab which will show a list of settings. Scroll down this list and check “show hidden files and folders” in the “hidden files and folders” section.

Is there a setting or way we can copy the files to a common location (google drive or dropbox please)?
Here is why…
1. Cross browser saves
2. easy backup and transfer
3. new browser (it could happen)
and could someone with more programming skills than me make a script or app that backs up the current location?

The solution of copying files is not a good solution, because it means your games will no longer be compatible with other browsers. Before, I could play a game in any browser, and it would recognize my progress.
Is there a way to make chrome use the default flash folder save files?

Copying files will have no impact on other browsers since you’ll only touch Chrome folders. What I described in my above posts are steps to manually transfer files from the old Chrome folder to the new one since it didn’t do that automatically like it usually does on updates.
You can make Chrome use the non-native Flash Player by disabling its Flash plugin. To do so, create a new tab, type “about:plugins” in the search bar, search for the Flash folders and disable the one with “[…]PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll” in the location (It should be the first one) while leaving others intact. Keep in mind that doing so has a drawback as Flash Player no longer will update automatically meaning you’ll have to do so manually from now on.

I did this, but it still doesn’t load my saves. Do I need to restart the computer or what?
I copied the files into #chat.kongregate.com
EDIT this is what I have now in […]AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\PepperData\Shockwave Flash[…]: http://tinypic.com/r/343j7t0/6
Before doing this, I only had the settings.sol file in it.

No reboot is necessary, it should work as soon as the page is refreshed. Are you sure you copied it into the right folder? Sometimes, a search query can show different results with similar locations. If you’re still having trouble, try to search for the file manually by following the steps described in the lower portion of a more detailed post of mine here.

found it, thanks a lot! Using the search option got me a different folder, that’s way it didn’t work. Alas not all the files returned (my epic battle fantasia 3 file is no more :‘( I can try searching the file and copying it in the Chrome folder, but many saves are saved under random strings of numbers, so I can’t identify every of them…), and, as someone else has already wrote about, I’m experiencing a general slowdown in every game… New Star Soccer, is unplayable, Mardek is ok but playing now with Medium Quality is as slow as playing with High Quality before the Chrome Update (so is almost impossible to play with High Quality). Do you know why? And also about the vanished save files? some save files are in the chat.kongregate.com folder, but others are inside the “gamez” folder inside chat.kongregate. It’s like this:
#SharedObjects —> chat.kongregate.com -→ some save files like Mardek’s, and gamez folder —→ which has got many numbered folder inside it.
So… Would you mind helping me again :)? Really thanks for what you did until now anyway, I’d really hate to start Mardek from scratch!
EDIT just checked, Epic Battle Fantasy’s files are in the correct location, but why does the game ignore them :(?

If the new Chrome Flash plugin is causing problems, you can disable it to make it work with the main Flash Player by following the instructions I posted just above your first post. However, since disabling it has a few disadvantages, I recommend only doing so temporarily for games that don’t work. To re-enable a plugin, go to the plugin page and click “enable”. If you’re lucky, Chrome should fix those issues in its next updates.

Okay… But before trying that… Is there any risk about doing that? For example, data-erasing in Chrome folder or I dunno what? And can I keep the files I have copied in the Chrome folder etc while doing the above procedure? Or I do have to erase them?

Normally, all your browsers use a same Flash Player that is installed in your computer. However, unlike those browsers, Chrome uses a different integrated Flash plugin with a separate folder. Disabling the plugin will simply make Chrome use the main Flash Player instead of the integrated one. The plugin and all saves in it will stay, they will simply be unused until you tell Chrome to re-activate it.
