Chat/newer flash player

Well a while back I upgraded to one of the latest flash player versions which is when this started, anyway before I could click into the typing field right from the game and type there without issues but since I updated I have to double click on the page background to unanchor from the flashplayer before I can click in the textbox or else my key presses count as input for the game rather than the chat.

I assume this is due to me somehow mystically screwing flash up when I upgraded and not something the people at adobe intended with the update, if this is just what the update intended then sorry for wasting time but yeah if there’s any way to fix it so I don’t end up killing myself in games when i’m trying to type I would love to know.

You’re using Firefox, aren’t you? This happens to a lot of FF users, and not just on pages with Flash content.

Uhh yeah, Firefox for general stuff/flash games and whatever and opera for downloads because opera has a more beastly download setup than any browser I’ve seen.

Yeah, it’s not anything you did, it’s an issue with Flash itself that’s been there for a while (at least for me).

For the record, you don’t have to click on the page background—you can also click on the chat dialogue itself (above the text input box). I find that this is faster for me, though not much less annoying.

Hmm, that kinda sucks.
Then again the later flash versions do seem a bit less user friendly than before so I suppose it’s not that much of a surprise.
