Certain games seem to prevent incoming or outgoing chat messages while they are in certain states.
For example, the recently uploaded “Battle for Darkness” doesn’t allow chat during battles. At the conclusion of the battle, missed chat messages arrive all at once.
I assume this is due to the game’s implementation of the Kong API, but is there any way to prevent this behavior and stay in chat while playing? If not, what part of their implementation prevents this, and how can Kong API be implemented in a way that does not block chat?
Edit: To be clear, the plug icon remains green and statistics still report, but chat messages aren’t displayed until eg, leaving battle.
