Unable to use chat

When I press enter to send my message I just go to the next line as if I’m pressing shift+enter. I checked to make sure sticky keys aren’t enabled. This is happening on a brand new computer with Win 8.

What does happen when you press “shift enter”?

Same exact thing happens, also I’m using Chrome if that makes a difference. It’s worked fine on Chrome on other computers before.

I’ve had this happen to me before, but only when Flash crashes, so maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling a fresh version of Flash, or try on a different browser to see if anything changes. Also, is it every game that this happens on, or does this only happen when you’re on certain games? That might be important.

Every single game. I’ve started looking closely at it too. Not only can I not talk, but I can’t see chat, change rooms, get badges, or do anything really with chat except for look at it and see profiles.

It was acting stupid for a while but I disabled and re-enabled pepperflash in Chrome, turned Chrome off and on again, and then once I restarted my computer after that it all sort of cleared up on it’s own. So…huh

Sometimes the best solution is a clean slate. Good to hear that worked!
