Infection/Protection for Infected Fury Month IS DOWN!!!

Something’s wrong… It’s not November the 20th, our Icons haven’t gone back to normal, but we can’t infect any more!!!
WHAT GIVES?!

From what I can see, it appears that the infection/protection period is over, but the end of the promotion isn’t until the 20th, which is why the avatars haven’t been changed back. Undoubtedly, Kong just wants to give the zombies some time to bask in their victory. :P

Spoils go to the victors – they get the right to gloat for a few days. :)

Indeed, Thursday night we’ll be taking down all of the zombie/survivor stuff (including reverting the avatars), but until then the infection/training has stopped and we’re just letting the promotion cool off for a few days while we work on new stuff for you guys. :-D

New stuff! yay! and darn, i already opted out of the thing after it was over, i didnt realize id have a chance to gloat, oh well, its nice to have my awesome avatar back

What if I hate my infected avatar and I just wanted the points for infecting?

I’m not sure – I’d need to check on that. I don’t think we planned on it, but we might be able to make those assets public for people to use in their avatars. No promises without me checking with management first. :)

To be entirely honest, I’d like a way to add the blood-splattered effect that my original avatar had before I took a L4D2 zombie avvie to my original avatar. That could be the “prize” for the zombies winning, the right to wear their gore-splattered avatar with pride!
