Referral points problem

Hiya K,

Hey today a friend of mine signed up under my referral today, but, I did not get 15 points. I used the link that is in your ‘manage your referrals’ page, he went from the main site to the register page, where there was stated that he was ‘invited to Kong by TheaN’. He signed up, appeared in the same section (manage your referrals), also under Points by ‘friend signed up’, but no points. What can be the cause, or is this a bug?

I now have three (3) referrals today, and only the second one didn’t give the 15 points… the first and last ones both gave 15 points.

I think they have to level up, or get points, but i am not sure

Look at Josh’s pic: it clearly states the same criteria for the points (friend signed up), but no points for his second referral. For me, it’s the only one I had thus far.

Could any Kong admin look at this?

That thread doesn’t explain the cause of the bug.

The problem is still unsolved.

I agree with Josh again, if I had read the topic more I would’ve noticed it: it’s not the cause of the problem.

Actually, I think (though I’m not sure) that your friend has to level up once for you to get the points.

When they get to level 2, if you still don’t have points, then there’s a problem.

the screenshots don’t really prove anything though do they i believe you but i was just thinking that the screenshots could easily be fakes

Because they’ve levelled up.

If you check the score logs, you will see that the “Friend signed up” entries have no points next to them while the friend is level 1, and then once they reach level two a “15” magically appears in the points column.

Jabor: No, the 15 points is immediate and is there even if they are only level 1. Look at my screenshot, and notice the two names “legallyblond” and “pinkhighlighter”. They are both level 1 at this time of writing (I just checked), and only one gave the 15 points.

Hm. I’ll ask him to level up and I’ll see what happens.

Did you sign up from the same computer/location? If he signed up from the same IP address you wont get points until he levels.
