So for about the past month, I haven’t been unable to save any data from any flash games. It’s independent of browser (happens on IE and Firefox) and it (Kong, NG, Armor), so I’m pretty sure it’s a problem with my flash player.
As long as I keep the browser open, my data is saved and I can come back to it, but closing the browser clears all my flash data out.
I’ve set the cache to unlimited and made sure the option to clear it on exit is unchecked. Is there anything else I haven’t tried?

Do you run any cleaners (such as CCleaner)? Have you tried reinstalling flash?

1. haven’t since the problem started
2. yup, reinstalled Firefox and Flash.

Have you double-checked the cache stays at unlimited? Have you tried reinstalling flash with the [standalone uninstaller](http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe) (reboot afterwards) and the [standalone installer](http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe)?

nope, still no go.
Do you happen to know where flash saves its data on my computer? I’ve heard about .SOL files that are used to store the data from games. I’m wondering if I can check the folderto make sure it’s not read-only or something silly like that.

Take a look at [this post](http://www.kongregate.com/forums/7-technical-support/topics/30792-es-razzi3l-s-compendium#posts-611108) to find the location for your operating system.
If you found the Macromedia-folder, it might be a good idea to rename that folder to something like Macromedia\_OLD, maybe some corrupt setting files caused the problem.

the .sol files are hidden so be sure to check the search for hidden box if your make a search

I’m getting this problem as well (using Google Chrome). I have run CCleaner, but I set it up to not clean anything for Chrome. This is very strange.

The flash data is not under the ‘Chrome’ section. You can find it on the ‘Applications’ tab in the ‘Multimedia’ settings. Uncheck ‘Adobe Flash Player’ and everything should be fine.

I’m experiencing the same problem and since then I haven’t been able to play many (if any at all) games on kongregate

I am having the same problem with both firefox and explorer.I have looked at where the files should be saved and cannot find anything flash related.

I’ve got this problem too. There aren’t any sol files being saved anymore, I have no idea why. I do have firefox set to never remember history, but sol files are not cookies so there shouldn’t be this issue.

Do they save in other browsers? If so, the problem is with your settings/add-ons.

Odd, games seem to save when using Internet Explorer. Argh I’d rather use firefox though :(

If you start up Firefox in safe mode, do they save? As I said, the problem is most likely with one of your add-ons or your settings.

No, safe mode, the games do not save again.
Thanks for your help,

Have you tried reinstalling flash? Internet Explorer uses a different kind of flash than Firefox.

Have you tried the other solutions in this thread with uninstalling and reinstalling Flash? You’re also going to need to solve your CCleaner problem if you want to save game progress.
