It looks like the game has been removed from Kongregate.

If you try to go to: www.kongregate.com/games/twowaymedia/string-em-in, you are redirected to the Kongregate homepage.

You will want to ask the developer to reupload it. I’m sure they have their reasons for taking it down.

Bring back the game or Imn off

Sadly, their license for uploading the game is expiring soon, so they requested for the game to be removed. Sorry!

That’s a BIG BOOOOOO!!! Bring Back String ’em in !!!

It’s a disgrace! There was no prior warning of what was about to happen or apology to those of us who enjoyed playing the game every day and are now deprived of the pleasure. String ‘Em In is the best word game ever devised and the only one worth playing as far as I’m concerned. Why can’t a new licence with Twowaymedia be negotiated to enable us to have our game back? I wholeheartedly agree with the comments made by other players about the removal of this game. We miss it and would like it back if that’s at all possible.

A daily distraction
(and in no way a sin!)
Our “gridders” obsession
With the ace "string ’em in "
Our nights are now empty,
Our brains are congealing,
Yes there are other games,
But none so appealing.
So we beg Kongregate
So we can remain sane,
Do whatever you can,
….TO REINSTATE OUR GAME!

You’re all appealing to the wrong people. Kongregate can’t force a developer to make a game available. It’s not a license that Kongregate controls. Two Way Media was merely being proactive and complying with the ownership rights of the people who licensed the game to them (Connect2Media).

If you want the game back here, contact Connect2Media.

More info: Article discussing a licensing deal between Connect2Media and Two Way Media which cites Connect2Media as the developer/publisher.

PLEASE BRING BACK STRING EM IN. IT WAS THE BEST GAME BY FAR ON HERE. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE, IF WE HAD BEEN TOLD THAT THE GAME WAS GOING TO BE TAKEN OFF THE SITE, IN THE FIRST PLACE

I had the same message from Kongregate and was told the developers are working on the “issues” and it will be back. I hope so!

See New Free on Line Games. No quickie, just classic and no leaderbord.

Flag Post

Sorry, there is a quick game on the New Free on Line Games site (my mistake) but no leaderboard unless someone has any ideas about how to access it. Would be pleased to hear from anyone who does. When is our game going to come back on Kongregate? Please let it be soon because it’s not the same now that we’re unable to see the names of our gridster friends on the leaderboards each morning. We were a community of friendly players who looked forward to being in competition with each other and our withdrawal symptoms are acute. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Can’t get into the game on the above site because the grid can’t be accessed. When is it coming back on Kongregate? Not interested in any other of their games – only String ’em In.

As I’ve said before, contact the people who have the rights to the game. Nobody else has the authority to bring the game back.

Hi IceWeaselX. A good point but why can’t Kongregate appeal themselves on behalf of those of us who want the game back? I’m sure people have rung Kongregate as well as written to them on this matter, so why don’t THEY do something to get it back for us? Are they trying, or just hoping we’ll all get fed up and stop appealing to them about the return of the game? I was able to have a few games on the sites mentioned above until the grids became inaccessible; now it seems that we’re ‘snookered’ all round!

loose, Kongregate makes a point to ensure they basically have no responsibility for what a developer does to their game. If they get involved now, they are setting a very dangerous precedence for themselves that could cause significant problems in the future for them, needlessly.

Flag Post

Sadly, as stated before, the license expired.

Please appeal to Connect2Media is you’d like to see the license renewed for the developer on Kongregate. We really can’t make them to upload it again without permission from their sponsor.

AdvOcatus, Zachary – thanks for your replies. See Cardaw’s posting about being told by Kongregate that the developers are working on issues and that the game will be back. Well, "issues’ can mean just about anything, can’t it, so I suppose that – apart from appealing to Connect2Media ourselves which, as you suggest would be our best course – we may still hope that Kongregate’s promise of the return of the game will come to fruition. Can you recommend any other good word games? String ‘Em In is by far the best one I’ve ever found on the computer.

Kongregate might not have been aware of the details at the time.
