FGF Council was obviously a thing, since it’s mentioned here. I’ve seen it mentioned a few times in the context of being some governing body, but… I can’t remember it actually doing anything in the time I’ve been here. So my question is: Is FGF Council even a thing any more?

I don’t think it exist any more, or if it does has any power.

The Editors are proud to announce a few changes to the sticky threads that will create a better and deeper experience of the forums. The changes are as follows: - Added the “Game Assets” post, which is a listing of freely available assets to use in your forum games. - Re-arranged the order of the posts so they made more sense. - Removed the ‘Forum Games Forum Council’ post, as it was out-dated. - Relocated the ‘Forum Games Forum Council’ post to the newly created “Forum Games Forum Archive” - Updated the Announcements. - Fixed all bit.ly links in The Information Thread that broke from the forum split. - adv0catus

[Cool Text](https://cooltext.com) could be added to Game Assets as a banner maker. It’s what I used for The Dethy Thread. It’s a good thing to have as a replacement to “R4L” and I think that enhances the forum game. ;)

Because I’m me, I’ve begun the process of going through the entire sub-forum to find as many threads as possible to include in the Archive. This post will continue to be updated with more threads as I find them. I’m just focusing on the thread and it’s content, so I’m sure there are plenty of duplicates. I’m looking at the thread in context, not retrospect, to see if I think it warrants inclusion. I’ll probably work through this list eventually (sooner than later, in all likelihood), so yeah. The thread existing outside of the normal forum environment allows it to remain a place of nostalgia without constant reflection. It’s not a normal part of the every day forum activities like The General Thread and The Master Thread, even The Information Thread, are. 2. This may be before your time, but it used to just be The Master Thread and The General Thread – The Information Thread didn’t exist. This created a huge problem, with The Master Thread trying to be everything. It was simply too much information to maintain and to read. The posts were huge and generally really out-of-date or flat out wrong. Creating The Information Thread tore out all the unnecessary fluff and made The Master Thread leaner and meaner. I think we all can agree that it is up-to-date and functions very well. I fear that merging The Archive Thread into The Master Thread or even The Information Thread will split focus and degrade both.

I don’t know if you’d consider [random.org](https://www.random.org/) and [Roll20](https://roll20.net/) too obvious to list under game assets, but there could be a host who need a dice roll or something similar and doesn’t know about them.
