adv0catus (Feel free to use any of these, just tell me first):
- **Time-Limited Tasks** : Players are given a list of tasks to complete within a certain time frame. The game is designed so not all tasks can be completed within the time given. Whoever completes the most, wins. [Edit: Points system.]
- [**Quote Falls**](http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_zJfGdkTGq6U/S-hlbWI8QXI/AAAAAAAAAOk/7hmcMELIT8c/s1600/YouOnlyLiveOnce.jpg)
- **Kongregate Riddles** : Riddles are made, based on (badged) games on the site, and the players try to guess the answer.
- **Battle RP** : Two sides battle it out in an RP to determine which team is the victor. One on one battles, with the winner being determined by majority. (Potential: Marvel Superheroes/Villains vs. DC Superheroes/Villains)
- **Think-in-Sync** : Anyone from ChatGames’s hay day might remember this. Well, it could be coming to a forum game near you.

- [**Paris Mafia**](http://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Paris_Mafia)
- **uPick Mafia**
- **[(Amount) (Currency) Drop](http://www.kongregate.com/forums/7099/topics/194959)**
- **Telephone Pictionary** : You might’ve played [Telephone](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_whispers) some time when you were younger. This forum game combines that with [Pictionary](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pictionary). The players are separated into groups (depends on how many players, so if we’re talking about ~10 players, no grouping is needed). The first player comes up with a phrase, tells it to me and I give it to the second player. The second player draws a picture based on the phrase, links it to me and I send it off to the third player. This continues until all players have done their part. Note that the game MUST end with a phrase and not a picture!
- **Identity** : Based on the game show of the same name, Identity is about matching 12 strangers (in this case, 12 fellow Kongregators) one-by-one with phrases about their identities. [Here’s](http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=48219) an example game.
- **What Were You Thinking?** : I’m not gonna bother explaining this, because it would be just confusing. It’s about picking items from a theme and scoring if other players picked any same items. [Here’s](http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=44717) an example.

myhome16:
- **Through the Dimensional Looking Glass** : Pairs of people from different time priods and regions of Earth are transported to a different dimense, the playthings of Gods.

Just curious, why the new thread?
|
|
|
metadata
It was meant to be a place where people can discuss games that they plan to make, and get help from the community as to what the community would want to see in those game. There was no proper place for this, so that is why this thread was made.

Choose My Next Game has kind of evolved into that and is a ForumGames account thread.

I thought it would be better to start a new thread for this purpose than to try an convert an older thread in such a way. If there are plenty of people feeling the same way, I can always delete this thread and make CMNGT the stickied thread instead, but until that point it can remain like this.
|
|
|
metadata
I think that it’s better to have a new thread – similarly to how the guidelines and master threads went through several incarnations before ending in a current form.

Choose my next game had the major problem of people not really giving me enough criticism when I asked (Though I didn’t give them much either). How much that changes here will determine if I am satisfied with this thread.

I think this will get a lot more activity then the Choose my next game thread since this is stickied, so yes it was a good idea.
It’s probably going to kill the CMNG thread though.

I rather this idea. I might actually end up using this thread frequently. Spike could be right about this killing CMNG, though. Not that it’s a bad thing; “Choose My Next Game” is more specific than this one, and thus won’t be as useful to as many people. I think we’re better off with this thread instead.

We expect this might happen since this thread can be used for the same purpose, but the CMNGT will be left open right now just in case people want to use it instead of this thread.

Indeed, it may not be a bad thing. I certainly don’t think CMNG will die because each user can only create a max of two games I believe so it’s still worth getting an input on what a community is interested, and getting one type of input. This is more of a thread on formed ideas that need more refining which is a different, but also important form of input.
This thread I do believe will be more active than CMNG as this threads nature is more orientated on discussions and working things out between a host and potential players. There were discussions in CMNG, but it wasn’t the threads primary purpose.

Nah, there’s technically no limit on number of games hosted at once, just how many people will approve. Me and Crystal both had three at once iirc.

If we’re going by the Random Turtle Negotiation of one game requires no approval, two games require three approval, three games requires nine(?) approvals, then while it’s not a hard cap, getting more than a few games would be insanely difficult, and it would still be a good idea to create a gauge on community interest, but you may be right. I do recall hearing you two were exceptions.

This was never settled and is still technically not real as far as I know, and isn’t really a discussion for this thread.

I agree on the motion of creating a new spawn similar to the CMNG thread. Hoping that this thread will be consistent in giving out feedback and suggestions to the community. However, is it allowed to discuss changes on games that are currently being hosted? (ex. rules, plot twists, games for tournaments)

This is exactly why I’d like to suggest naming the thread “The Game Development Thread”. It’s an umbrella term that covers all the scenarios.

This makes sense, although I can’t imagine why you would post things like that here. If you want to comment on an RP’s plot you would use the Sign-up thread, if you wanted to comment on almost any other game you would just do so in the thread itself.

Personally I think that the word “upcoming” in the title of this thread is encompassing of the ideas of game development. I think it’s pretty clear that this thread is meant for new games and game concepts only. “Game Development Thread” would also work, but I would say that the current title is adequate.
(Also first page sticky post)

Added the post from The ‘Choose My Next Game’ Thread that had the future game ideas.

By the way, since this is pretty closely related with CMNG which isn’t stickied, do you guys think it’s worth linking it somewhere in one of the first few posts?

That battle RP is one awesome idea but I think it will be awhile before anybody does it

I might as well be the first to advertise an upcoming game.

If you want to discuss development of the game, or apply to be a villain\* or have a nation\*\*, just drop on by FelineForumer’s PM\*\*\* box.
\* Villain applicants need not worry about limiting future prospects. You do not even need to be a villian, as recurring bosses or just simple enemies are also encouraged. Curious? Inquire inside! Extra note: Possible control in battle is included for no extra charge.
\*\* Nation applicants need not worry about not being limited because of their choice, but supplies are limited. Curious? Inquire inside!
\*\*\* PM: Standing for ‘You know, that thing. The one to talk back and forth using a virtual mail’.

Ohhhhhhhhhh an RP.
Not touching, sorry.

Quite a while ago I had an idea involving the FGF Top Trumps. What about an FG where you go around to many previous FGs battle the natives (In FG Top Trumps style) and recruit the various Top Trumps to make an interesting and diverse team that will travel FG.
Thoughts?
