I'm not sure if this has been a subject in the forums before, but I've been thinking it would be great if The Trail had a sequel game. Maybe freshen up the look, new scenery and wildlife, maybe even an urban jungle theme, improve on the bugs that many players complain about. I love this game so much I would even pay a couple dollars to download a sequel!
How about it? If there was a Trail 2, what would you like to see?

That would be a great thing, but like you said....first the developers of The Trail need to be consistent and devoted to the game. There is not much loyalty and clearly not much worth in what they say or do when it comes to Updates forTrail #1. The glitches and bugs are usually worse than they were before the update and then it’s 1/2 a year until we hear anything at all from the developers in regards to fixes, another update, if the game will continue, etc. I truly love this game as well and would love to see it continue in a series, but the developers must get things in order with this one first. Most importantly, it would be nice if they would realize it is MARCH and we are awaiting word for the UPDATE they clearly stated would be coming. Time zones are different around the world but we all have the same Calendar. To the developers, could you please address the March Update in fairness to the loyal Trail Runners who have stuck with you? Thank You.

Honestly, I don't know what goes in to developing a game like this or what it takes to fix it, but i love it. I'm willing to be patient. I just think it would be cool to see the same kind of game in a different setting. Different items, different quests, etc. Maybe fans wouldn't get so bored.

I agree, trail 2 would be great and I would also be willing to pay. It's to great of a game concept to not keep it going.

A couple dollars isn't going to get them to start a sequel. Offer a couple hundred thousand and they might listen.
When you have employees who require salaries and health insurance, it takes a lot of money to keep the company going even if you only have a few employees. 22Cans clearly decided that it wasn't worth the effort to keep The Trail going, just as it wasn't worth it to keep Godus going either.
You can do wishful thinking as much as you want, but realistically you shouldn't expect any more updates or any new Trail games unfortunately.
