I’m not sure if this will work for others but if you are having a hard time finishing your quest head over to lumberjacks rise just before eden falls. When you first start on the trail you will encounter a raccoon, behind the rock will have a glitch. You will have 2 raccoons behind the rock, then you can head into town, then come back to lumberjacks rose and their will be 3 raccoons, repeat this as many times as you want, it adds 1 raccoon each time.

I can't thank you enough for this. I was able to finish all of the quests thanks to this. Observations from my own experience (your experience may vary):
When the last recipe was finished, Koko the bird disappeared and never returned.
If I had a bunch of racoons but only needed 1 item to finish a quest, I'd go ahead and pull out all of the racoons anyway just to get more of that item in case there was a use for the item in a recipe.
Leaving your device's display off for too long, such as putting your device down for a few hours, can result in you having to start over with the racoons. In other words, if you build your way up to 2, 3, 4, and then 5 racoons and your game is inactive for too long, you might end up going back to 1 or 2 racoons. You can build them up again by running the same zone repeatedly.
For the longest time I kept losing my duplicate racoons whenever I got to somewhere between 25 and 30 of them. I had been picking up other things along the way, and once I stopped doing that I was able to get more raccoons past that weird limit of 25 to 30.
When I reached the town I had settled in I was always able to put things in my house's storage and go back to Lumberjack's Rise and still have the racoons. Spending time in the town didn't affect the racoons at all. I was also able to use the trade thing to sell items whenever I returned to Lumberjack's Rise without it affecting the racoons.
If I ran through the zone and missed all of the racoons due to not paying attention, there were still duplicates the next time I ran it. You don't have to pull the racoons for them to keep duplicating.
After I accepted a new recipe I was still getting duplicate racoons for that run. Each raccoon would give me an item such as an axe, slingshot, skin from an animal, etc. for that specific run.
I don't know what happens if you go to a different zone and then return to Lumberjack's Rise. My *guess* is you would lose the duplicate racoons, but I never tried it to see.

This is the only trail I know of that takes you directly into a town. At least that is what happens to me.

The traits map is very linear so there is only one way too go to town. You can ofcourse jump back when you are at a campsite, But only one way to walk into town.

Just wanted to add my experience to this.
If I've just received a new quest at Lumberjack's Rise, the raccoons will still be there, duplicated, but they won't give me quest items until the next time I go to Lumberjack's Rise. I did this quickly by pressing the home icon and then pressing the trail icon to return to the campsite; the duplicated raccoons then gave me the quest items.
When my game crashed, the duplicated raccoons resorted to their seemingly default duplication of two.
Thank you for this tip!

48caleb thank you for the concise tip. I think it is already in our #Tips-and-Tricks channel in TTUPC, but if not, I am going to put it there.
Everyone is pretty much guaranteed to discover something new in our #Tips-and-Tricks channel, and while for some it may make the game too easy if you are in the beginning stages, if you are further along you may appreciate reduction of "the grind".
Happy hiking!
