Hello Everyone,
We’re so excited to share some of the new content we’ve been working on for Animation Throwdown. Check out the details below. As always, thank you all for playing and we hope you will enjoy these updates!
If you have any questions, please share here.
***
***

A new Challenge has arrived-- defeat Burgerboss Bob and earn delicious event rewards!
#### The event will begin October 17 at 18:00 UTC and will end on October 24 at 18:00 UTC.
***
***
#### What is the Burgerboss Challenge?
It’s like Swole Club mixed with a bit of non-refill Challenges and a splash of something new; all wrapped together in a neat retro package.
Players will enter the Challenge by navigating to regular Challenges in-game and tapping Burgerboss. You will face Burgerboss Bob in multiple matches and can earn Burgerboss Points, which are needed to earn ranked and milestone rewards.
The first 10 levels are pretty standard, but be warned! Burgerboss Bob is a beefy opponent and you’ll find the difficulty heats up at a challenging, but exciting, pace.
***
#### Will there be battleground effects in the Burgerboss Challenge?

Players and the AI opponent will not benefit from any global battleground effects.
Beginning at level 11, all enemy cards will get a 20% boost to Health, Attack, and all Skills. The boss will also gain a 20% boost to Health. These boosts increase by an additional 20% for every level after 11.
***
#### How does the point or reward system work?

Each battle awards Burgerboss Points. The higher you go in difficulty, the more points you will earn per battle. The total points you earn are based on win or loss only, so don’t worry if your cards or hero take a bit of damage during a winning battle.
You get points for a loss, but not very many. If you’re feeling stuck, try using the down button on the main screen to move down to a lower difficulty level.
For Ranked rewards, there will only be a top 1,000. These tiers are meant to be very challenging to reach. Worry not, though! The Burgerboss Challenge also has Milestone rewards-- most of them should be attainable for seasoned players. In the event of a tie, the award will go to the player that was first to reach the tied spot.
***
#### How many attacks do we get and can we buy refills?
This is a non-refillable challenge.
Each player will begin with 6 total attacks. All players will receive +6 at 18:00 UTC every day the event is active. There is no cap on the energy-- your game will continue to collect the +6 attacks automatically. For example: if you decide to wait until the last day to play this Challenge, you will see that you have 42 total attacks.
Remember: In case of a tie, the award goes to the player who was first to reach the tied spot. So, if you’re trying for ranked rewards, you will want to participate in the event as quickly as you can.
***
#### How do I navigate the Burger Boss screen?

**Toggle** - Use this button to switch between the Burgerboss menu and the event Rankings.
**Rewards** - Tap this button to view the full list of Ranked Tier Rewards, Milestone rewards, and possible Battle Loot.
**Up** and **Down** - In the Burgerboss menu, use these buttons to go up or down in level difficulty. When viewing the Rankings board, use these buttons to scroll up or down.
**Fight** - tap this button to begin a battle for the level you currently have selected.
***
#### Will we see more Burgerboss Challenges in the future?
YES! We plan to hold more events in this format in the future, including events with different opponents. The dates of any future events are TBA.
***
#### Will Combo Mastery be in effect?
Yes, players will still get their bonuses from Combo Mastery during this event.

Thanks Modchikopi, looks like some retro fun! For the final rankings, will it be based on the top 1000 that last day, or does it just mean that the 1st person to hit #1 on the first day (and stays there) gets the top prize?

will there be milestone rewards ?

It sounds like it's like Swole in that it's ranked by quickest to a level.

Love the content and the retro feel looks fun, however how can I be sure that other players won’t get extra stuff? Nothing seems resolved from last issue and we have this fun money trap?

Very excited about this new challenge, so happy to see that it is not another "special" 7 day refill challenge. I really hope these continue in the future. Kong is finally making a step in the right direction with this challenge. We want new and fun things to do during the down time between Rumble and Siege. I really hope this goes well :)

Do we get to buff any of our stats somehow? Or just AI?

The only buff to our stats are the combo masteries in the deck we choose to use for the challenge, as far as I understand it.

That’s what I thought but wanted to be sure. Wish the would do a challenge with a show buff. Like in this case all B.B. cards get buffed.

This is same as swole, but without bonuses, so whales that has for ex. disguise deck with devil hanks, robot frys etc. etc., then I wont get far same like it was for swole.
And opponent will have on later levels OP decks simiral to swole ones.

How do people have 12k+ points already????? If you only get 6 fights and win them all, that's impossible!

No, it doesnt mean you missed any matches, it means there will be 7 times you will use your energy. First is now, later refills at given time said in OP´s post.
WHy it shows "6/42" and not "6/6"? It is because if you didnt spent energy before refill, the energy will not go away, instead it will at more energy than you currently have. So if oyu wouldnt use energy until another "refill", it would show "12/42" because you didnt used those 6 energy earlier.
So if you dont do challenge until the last hour the cllange ends, you would have 42/42 energy left to spent.

Ah, sorry about that. I can't go into too much detail, but there was 1 piece of this challenge that was waiting on another item to get approved behind the scenes. That piece didn't get finalized until yesterday. Normally I can let players know about what's upcoming ahead of time, but sometimes things change last minute so they don't get announced until they're live or just about to go live.

The scores are cumulative for the event, but a person doesn't necessarily have to stay at the top to win because it's based on total score for the whole event. At the end of the event, the top 1,000 scores will get ranked rewards. Theoritically, someone could wait until the very last minute to play ALL of their charges and still make it into a ranked tier. However, if there are tied scores, the rank goes to the person who reached that score first. For example:
1st place - Player A at 1,000 points
2nd place tie: Player B and C at 980 points each
Player C reached 980 points on the final day of the event at 11:00 UTC
Player B reached 980 points on the final day of the event at 16:00 UTC
Because Player C got to that score first, they get 2nd place.
Milestone rewards are different. Once you reach a milestone, you will get the reward. For milestone rewards, it does not matter how many people reach the same level, how many people do it faster, or how long it takes you to do it.

Updates to the support policy will be shared soon and many changes are already in place. Support has shared their remorse over mistakes and that they will be doing all they can to avoid the same mistakes in the future. I can tell you with confidence that they are making many changes and still have more to say/give/provide to the community, it's just taking time. Restoring confidence in the support team will take time, but the support team will continue to work on changes and more follow-up with the players. Please stay tuned on the forums or in-game mail for more info.

This is correct.
