# Skill Updates
Our team is currently reviewing current in game skills for updates.
Currently we are aware of a heal-all display bug which can cause cards to appear as if they haven't healed (even though they have) - this should be resolved in an upcoming update. There is also some confusion about the BGE because of the order in which it applies. We also believe the Bomb animation to be a bit confusing in the way that it triggers.
Keeping the above in mind, we are reviewing the current skills, how they perform in battle, their descriptions, and their animations. Keep an eye out on upcoming updates as we may roll out some changes to skills in the next few weeks.

While you're at it, make Punch go before Cripple. It's a bit lame to cripple the card that is being punched to dead by the same card.

Have the team check this motivate scenario while they are at it. Ran into this just yesterday...
Card with motivate skill in slot 2 motivates card in slot 3. Card in slot 2 is destroyed however card in slot 3 retains that motivate bonus..not until end of turn or even until end of my turn but for 3 turns. The motivate boost was removed from the card in slot 3 when the opponent finally played another card in slot 2.
Can be the answer to most if not all motivate related issues

Good. With some of the effects being calculated on the card before the animation, it just gets confusing. The timing's been _waaay_ off ever since the change of icons/animations in both directions.

While your imput is **SUPER HELPFUL**... It's not on topic nor meaningful in any way. Are you saying that you don't want cheer to be technically able to hit cards on the left? Why do I have to accept that when the mods are starting a thread asking for skill suggestions?!?
Also, not true... What about Hijack? Gas? Payback?

Two of those three you mentioned - activate in the order the card is played (the other, Hijack, activates on an enemy card's skill/activation). A card with Gas on the far right won't gas until it's that card's turn to play. Some effects like Cheer, etc., are distinctly different from Motivate (which acts when the card is played), and are intended to play that way so that you play a Cheer card "to the left" more often than not, making you think about strategy.
Golfing Hank, for example. 20 punch AND 20 cheer - MUCH more valuable on the left than the right - which means I'm more likely to play Shuttlecock Ring with high DEF / low ATK and get it to "hold" so I can combo Hank on it. I risk taking some damage that way but get a better combo than "playing it out."
I very much like the difference in skill activations and think it's a worthwhile differentiator between cards. Keep it!

Does payback not activate when the opposing card attacks it? How is that "in the order played"? Gas also activates when the card posessing it hits an opposing card, but also when the gassed card goes... Is that "in the order played" as well? Also, motivate activates at the beginning of each turn as demonstrated by the hijack bug that was fixed...
Anyway, if you like it. I don't care to change your mind. But what you said similarly has little impact on my preference.
I still think cheer should have the potential to hit cards on both sides.

Be carefull what you wish for...
If they buff cheer so it get's more versatile (working left and right) they need to nerf it in another way (I guess they'd halve the values) to keep it overall balanced.

The cheer direction is very straight forward and does exactly what it's intended to do. If only cripple and motive and now the hyjacked would function as it should, I'd be able to use it reliably and that'd be a great improvement in my opinion. I had difficulty accepting it at first too but leave well enough alone or something else will change in a way you never wanted.

These skills are turn based effects(gas) or reactive effects(hijack,payback), not instant effects such as punch, give, cheer, etc. Gas damage is applied at end of opponents turn, payback deals damage when that card is attacked and hijack steal attack boost when applied to opposing card.
The only thing is description for gas skill should be changed from "attacked card takes X additional damage each turn" to "damaged card takes X additional damage each turn"
