Hello and happy ~~Thursday~~ Wednesday!
***
# Skill Updates
After reviewing the design and community feedback of skills, the team has decided to make the following updates. More updates may come, but we feel that these updates will go a long way in helping reduce the confusion some skills were causing new and veteran players.
* The Bomb animation will now occur at the same time as the attack of the card with the skill, instead of waiting for the attack animation to complete. (This is already out)
* The Trait/Show asterisk icon will be further defined to help distinguish the difference between affects applying for traits or for shows.
* The following skills will receive a description update: Cheer, Cheer All, Heal, Heal All, Hijack, Bodyguard, Leech, Payback, and Gas.
Those description updates are as follows:
| | Skill | Description |
|--|-----|-------------|
| | Cheer | Increases attack of another random friendly {y} card by {x} for a turn. Only targets cards that have not attacked this turn. |
| | Cheer All | Increases attack of all other friendly {y} cards by {x} for a turn. Only targets cards that have not attacked this turn. |
| | Heal | Restore {x} health to another damaged {y} card. |
| | Heal All | Restore {x} health to all other friendly damaged {y} cards.
| | Hijack | Steals up to {x} attack from each attack increase on the opposing enemy until next turn. |
| | Bodyguard | Prevent {x} damage from each skill that targets this card and adjacent allies. Uses the highest Bodyguard available.|
| | Leech | Heals self for {x} after dealing attack damage to a card. |
| | Payback | Deals {x} damage to any card that attacks this, if this card survives. |
| | Gas | Attacked enemy card takes {x} additional damage after each of their turns. |
# Delayed Ticket Queue
You may see additional ticket delays over the next couple weeks. We are seeing higher than normal ticket volume and the team is working through the queue as fast as possible. We thank you for your patience.
Additionally I am out until next Tuesday - if you have any urgent matters or concerns, please send them along to Modchi @ http://www.kongregate.com/accounts/modchikopi.

Small formatting error: hijack is stuck in the description of heal all. Should have it's own line.

Really like updated description of the skills. More understandable from newbies.

Thanks! Fixed!

Payback description is a bit off, since a card which punches the card, did not get paybacked

So is leech actually fixed to damage _done_ to the card now? (finally?) Because I always felt it should have more of a vampiric ability == heals _**up to**_ (x) damage done to card (y) === _**not**_ (i.e.) card(x - with attack 4 leech 6), attacks card (y - with shield 5) and card (x) regains 6 health (not only more than it was _capable_ of doing, but did not even successfully attack)

Shiny/Modchi can you further explain this?
This has bothered me for quite some time. Mleb just instituted a brilliant system on his Site, in which a Silver Star effects Show and a Gold Star effects trait (might have that backwards). Will the actual game update be along these lines?

Shiny, great news on the trait/show specific skills icon change. I hope they will be self explanatory, so we won’t have to look up which icon works what way. My skills in this regard were high enough to convert a gold star into a silver one, but nothing more sophisticated. ;) Please update the Fan Kit ASAP after the update, so I can use the new official icon.

Is there somewhere in game that explains this? I can't find a key or legend in game. Is there a way to tell if a skill affects all cards from the same show or all cards with a specific trait? Like blensball effects all futurama cards, but other cards with cheer will only effect armed cards or something.
I would recommend implementing the ability to click on an opponenet's card to see what its skills do. I know you can click on your own, but in a match it would be helpful to see what the new cards do.

ok, so I originally asked:

I realize now, I probably could have been a bit clearer... meaning "up to (x) damage done to the _actual card..._" getting health by taking health per se... healing by smacking into a brick wall or steel plate just never made sense. So, please... just to clarify...which is it now?

Can the star just be changed to an icon, for either the SHOW, or the Trait icon? I think that would make it a lot easier, to see at a glance what it will do... or just remove these limits all together... they are so annoying.

You can. Tap on their card and the same info comes up.

Actually, in many instances, the game does not allow you to tap on your opponents cards.

There is an issue with the game that for some reason doesn't let you see some of your opponents cards when you tap on it. I'm just too lazy to report that issue...but I'm sure it can't be only happening to me.

I assumed that it only let me see cards or fusions I have actually owned before? That's been the general pattern I thought I noticed anyway.

What is the bug being reported? From what I understand, once gassed, a card will continue to experience damage each round even if the enemy card has been destroyed.

actually, there's no problems with tapping on your oppenent's cards; just til it's your turn. it brings up all the info, same as your own. combos even have a "recipe" tab, although it will only show the ones you've researched... _WHY_ this recipe feature is _only_ accessible during combat is completely idiotic... it'd be much more useful outside the ring when you can make changes to your deck.

For some reason, I never noticed before but it seems that your site has the colors different from the game.
Any chance that you can change the colors on your site to match so that gold is trait-specific and blue is show-specific?
Thanks!
