Next update at GiaB’s blog: Tombs.
Pretty much the same as beacons, but I like his idea about unravelling more info about tombs as you wreck more of them. (And I wish to be able to hue monsters on the fly myself, I want to know how does he hue tombs.)

well it certainly looks nice. i just hope they’ll have solved the framerate issues with high rank/speed gems that plagues GCL here :/

I thought 1.21/1.22 GCL already dealt with that problem?
Dunno, it’s kinda hard to see it the way I play…

Hope the number of hits does not count chain as more than 1 hit, or B/R would ebd up quickly rising<=,e.g.1% per 100 hits fs=10c ch=200% Then 5s and ch 201% 173 sec and ch doubles .
But it isn’t worst. fs increases, and timeof doubling ch shrincs to 0,and dmg becomes infinite/

If black benefitted f.s. , then it would double in 6.6*number of hits for 0.1 increase seconds, and the range goes up in all sides, and f.s., range, damage start rising exponentially.

Even that is not the worst.W/B/M will double mana yield in 66 sec.,and *4 per upgrade
Even if you needed FMP^2 mana, time fo upgrades would degrade exponentially.

IIRC GiaB said that the W/B effects increase with logarithm of actions, so this won’t get into exponential values – yet. But even going from logarithmic growth to inverse square growth is a lot.

Another update on GC2. There is some loot to be achieved! :D
Being a Diablo 2 fan, I like this concept. Though this might provide an unnecessary grindfest in the very end :(

Probably, at the start:
Drop 6 grade gem, if you didn’t get 8 grade, restart…

“The minimum dealt damage is universally set to 1, so that if you don’t have the firepower to smash through a target’s armor, you can still deal tiny hits.

say hello to grade-1 gem-bomb spam :D

I guess you won’t want to spam 1000 grade 1 gems, instead of creating a grade 11 gem and bomb for more than 1000 through all that armor :D

The coolest sounding battle mode is orblets.

Hmmm. Orblets mode should really rock, especially if that orblet would be able to get completely stolen, and not get picked up by another monster, which might not just be the case, as he mentions FETD2 and Cursed Treasure as the source(s) of the idea. Once you lose one orblet, it’ll be the defeat time for sure, at least anger/summon less time. And flow looks like DTD’s easy mode flying only. I don’t think it’ll be good, but we have to see first.

Another update, this time on XP&winning. Nothing too major, except maybe “secondary XP” pool that would allow leveling up even if you’ve totaled your power for the current wizard level and levelset. Although I like more statistics.

well, that secondary xp will certainly be interesting. a bit of conventional grinding allowed, but you still have to do better if you want to keep leveling in the long run.

Finally we DO get something for replaying levels.
Cause I somewhat dislike the “you only get the max xp counted in” idea.
There are many other similar games, where you DO progress by replaying older levels.
This is true grinding, whilst here it’s kinda unfair – you must always get better, but your (failed) efforts aren’t even appreciated.
