PAID contract gig, looking for professional sprite artist to help with Defender's Quest
The game Defender’s Quest) has been off to a great start, but now we’re looking to improve on it even more by overhauling our artwork. We already have hired a background artist and a tile artist, and are now seeking a professional pixel artist to work/redo our in-battle character and enemy sprites in our 16-bit SNES-style graphics. This will be a paid gig, running probably 3 – 4 weeks. If you’re interested and available, please post a link to your portfolio, including some animated sprites. Or you can PM us on Kongregate directly to apply. We’re looking to find someone to start by the end of the week, so please only apply if you’re available to work at least part time for most of the next 4 – 5 weeks.
Here are some sample shots of our current sprite graphics if you haven’t tried the game:

DEV AND/OR GRAPHIC ARTIST NEEDED
“I will be contributing support,”
That’s the first thing you should have said. Put a [PAID] tag on your subject line and stress that you are willing to pay for talent in the body of your offer, preferably putting a price range or point share right there so people know you’re not going to dick them around or expect them to work for free. I think that’s where Bananenbuiger got mislead: up to that point you had not made clear you were willing to support the team you wish to lead.
And yes, you are well within your rights to draw up a contract detailing exactly everyone’s responsibilities and expectations. In fact it will likely save you trouble down the road. I might even apply for the coder position once we all know exactly how much you’re willing to offer.

Hello, I'm Looking for a Good Programmer(Multiplayer Shooting Game)
Welcome, I'm looking for a good programmer for a game I would like to create, I will supply graphics, and any profit made will be split 50-50 or 75-25(in your favour if you want). You must be trustworthy, active(Not 12 hours a day type active, just enough to maybe get a bit of coding done.) and you WILL be an admin as part of this. The game will NOT be 3D. If you are interested you must read this first:
The set programmer will need to be able to do this:
-Damage(Hp, gun damage)
-Have an online server
-Provide updates throughout the game's time
-A payment method for players to buy a premium addition/currency(but can be earned in-game), this will be part of our profit and used to run our game's server(s) or website.
-Different gun/melee weapon damage
-Collision on blocks
-A well built render engine(?)

-Block damage(Well not really, but it would be nice if you could )
-Custom map creator
-Shop
-Usernames and accounts, guest option too
-Achievements
-Killstreaks
-Daily prizes
-More as I come up with more
I know this may sound needy or alot expected of you, but half of those don't even need to be in the game until later on. If you would like to help PM me, I'll give you more info on this game. I currently don't have many graphics set up yet so it will be a week after today approximately until you will actually start coding. If you can, show me some of your work, it will help your chances!
Thanks for reading. I hope I get some responses, peace. I have some graphics to work on. XD -Kingpooultra
I would like to get some help, as I will not continue with my graphics until I know I have a good programmer. I also would like this programmer to be responsible. Thanks.
(Btw I already have an animator. And a possible music maker for my game.)

Programmer partner wanted for concept game
There is no guarantee for a considerable amount of revenue, plus you should have previous projects to back up the possibility of you producing anything worthwhile, so, compensation based on revenue share would be difficult to find a partner for.

Artist Wanted?
How many assets does your project need, and do you need animations as well as stills?

I would suggest using vector graphics, not Bitmaps if you plan on scaling graphics much.

Programmer partner wanted for concept game

Anyways, I like the way you suggest this project: It looks like you have a real detailed design backing it.
I have no problem with offering a fair shake. How dickish is it to ask for a time record so that revenue can be split based upon invested time?
How much more needs to be in the “better pitch”? Like I mentioned, I’ve got some background in programming, archaic though it might be. I’m fairly confident I can pick up some super-basic Flash to do some of the ‘grind work’-type of stuff—making arrays, organizing basic data interactions/calculations, etc. Should I do some of this beforehand and include it in the pitch? Or would this likely be a waste of time, since it’s not even my call to pick which language to use (Flash, Java, PHP, I don’t know, Cobol, C++, Command Prompt Batch File Scripting, whatever), and all work I put forward before finding a partner will inevitably, by virtue of Murphy’s Law, have to be flushed.

DEV AND/OR GRAPHIC ARTIST NEEDED
This is a collaborations forums sir. If you do not understand what i said i am sorry, but it is a simple contract. All i asked was a complete project. You brought slavery into this. If someone agrees to help, and they give their word, then they should feel obligated to finish.

I hope you understand that those terms are impossible to enforce right? I mean, as far as i am aware slavery is outlawed in all parts of the civilised world, and “you have to keep working on this thing untill i say it’s done” is pretty much that slavery entrails.
I am not a lawyer, but i’m pretty sure a term like that is not legaly valid.

So it’s a community thing, trying to filter out ok-ish people using a credit system and having them meet each other. it’s not a bad concept imo, but calling it a studio implies the games belong to the studio.
What i recommend is calling it a community or something. and personally talk to a few good artists and programmers and get them to join the gang. make a game or two to get people to go WOW! and want to join.
the important question for me this time, is what is your motive, what do you plan to get out of this?

Jephz: I will be contributing support, and record-able beta testing.(I’ll leave the coding to the DEV) Thanks for the question!
Bananenbuiger: The terms are that if you agree to join me on this project, then you finish what you started. The money can’t be discussed until i know how many people will be working on this. Thanks for the question!
