Hello everybody!
I’m using collabs to publish some artworks, because I just wanted to hear some statements, suggestions and so on.
But to be honest:
It’s no help for the artists not to see the average rating under, above or what else the pictures.
Everytime I have to click through all the collabs just to see that the average rating stucks on 3,25, because only 3 people have rated it.
Thats really annoying and just not usefull!
If you really want to help artists, please make it easier to see the avg rating, otherwise the collabs doesn’t make sense…
Thx a lot and greetz, the Mister

I definitely agree with you on how an artwork’s rating information should be able to be seen by the artist…. though, you should not post the art in the collabs, just in the art area of the site.

The collabs were a sponsership stunt, they were never meant to be helpful.

wait a sec thats impossible… if 3 people have rated something then it cant be 3.25, it can only be something with the decimals .00 or .33 or .67

That couldn’t be more untrue. The collabs are meant to be a showcase for people to find work. There is work we need to do, but unfortunately there are other things that need focus right now. There are plans in the work for the collabs in the future.
I’ve actually gotten a pretty high profile game from my music on the collabs.
MisterSinister, I’ll make sure the staff sees this. I don’t agree that the collabs are useless without this feature, but it certainly would help. I would recommend using the collabs to showcase your work, but use other avenues to get jobs. Try this forum, and http://flashgameart.com

They’re usless because developers can’t sort art into catorgries or search them by their tags, making it near impossible to find anything.

They aren’t useless, I just said I got a job from the collabs. That doesn’t sound like they OMG, DONT HALP AT ALL, yes they need work. I’m not speculating here, I’m speaking from experience.
Yes, the collabs need work, but right now use them for what they are! A great place to showcase your art/music and get feedback.

I don’t suppose your profile was heightened by the fact you’re a curator? Normal users don’t stand a chance of being spotted. If I just want somewhere to showcase my art deviantart or even photobucket etc are better options.

OK, I have to correct myself:
Not useless at all (that whas overdued) but not well executed.
In my opinion this feature is one of the more important….I don’t know on what you like to focus on.
Yes, I also use other platforms (like DA as well), but because I know some people only because of allmighty kong I wanted to give them the possibility to see my work without giving out my other accounts.
A great place to showcase your art/music and get feedback…….That’s the point it schould be like, but to improve the feedback you can get by collabs, the average rating must be easier to see.
Big thanx, David, for taking care about this ;)
