PokeRevolt - Looking for AS Coder

First, let me start off by introducing myself. My name is Shafique Arnab and I am the lead programmer for Team Revolt. We are currently working on a new project called PokeRevolt which is a real-time MMORPG based upon the Pokemon universe.

Our team members are located throughout the world including Singapore, Australia, Europe, and the United States. All communication is done via IM, E-Mail, and Skype, so your location shouldn’t prevent you from applying for this position.

Actionscript Coder

Requirements
Min. 2 years experience in AS2
Proficient knowledge in Object-Oriented-Programming
Understanding of Flash API’s
Broadband Internet Connection (DSL,Cable,T1,etc.)

Skills=
Ability to collaborate amongst a group of people
Thorough knowledge of the English language
Determination & will to meet strict deadlines

**Knowledge of the Pokemon universe is not necessary, but is preferred.

In addition, this position does not offer a fixed salary. In Team Revolt, we split the profits made from our projects throughout the team. So don’t go quitting your day job for this. ^_

I’m starting to learn AS3, as I’m more used to C++ style of programming. However, there may be a possibility that you could get shut down, as I believe that Pokemon related games get shut down easily, and I’d hate to see a game get half way through development, and then get a Cease and Desist letter.

why would pokemon related games get ceased and desisted? i believe it is time for a real pokemon game to come onto the computer, i knew this one pokemon game on the computer that people actually liked but now since the person who ran it went to college it got shut down. so yeah someone has to do it.

We’re not too worried about getting shut down as there were several online Pokemon games in the past, just not on such a big scale. This position is also still open. If we cannot find someone we will unfortunately have to drop the project. =(
