Nimbus, if you want to protect against fomor then bury your ADT as close to the center of your yard as possible, and surround it closely with silos to protect it against catapults. This is the building that will slaughter his fomor and zafs and hence make the rest of his attack fail. If you have rocket daves or air exploding eyera in your bunker then do the same with bunker….but guessing you don’t have those yet as don’t see a monster lab in your yard

Here’s my base before i get the bug glitch:

EDIT: I’m lvl 40 With 6 outposts. Tomorrow, after the last attack from Moloch, i’ll never be able to play anymore because of the bug glitch…. Soo sad….

As long as you don’t actually go in, you won’t get the glitch.

Pros:
Cricket Chirps ._.

Cons:
- Cataprone ADTs and Bunkers
- Teratorns are obviously a main flaw to this yard’s design in the south-west area
- No eye-ra bait
- No pathing
- Inefficient tower placement
- No NECoRG or NECoT

I would normally say something about how to improve your yard, but since its a box yard I say just scrap it.

I think I’ve posted on here before, but my base is much more developed since then, and i have pretty much everything except the stuff that came in the updates: th lv 8, 5 lv10 silos, all lv10 resource gatherers, 6 lv9 cannons, 6 lv9 snipers, 3 lv5 teslas, 3 lv5 lasers, 4 lv3 bunkers, 2 lv5 ADTs, 2 lv5 railguns, and a lv6 fomor. if you need any other info just lemme know. oh, and im lv45 with 12 outposts

Considering the fact that nobody is even halfway out of starter protection in Inferno yet, it is difficult to come to any conclusion about how “good” a yard there is or not. Basically, so far, as long as you do keep your Compound full, then yes it is good: the opponent’s attack would be of equal strength, resulting in mutual destruction (in favor of the defender, as other defensive towers are present). I think that yard design is likely to become more important starting with level 4 or 5 Under Halls.

Anyway, I may as well include a picture of what I’ve thrown together so far too, which I think to be an improvement over the yard I put earlier:

Looks like you kinda modled your Inferno yard after an op design i believe i saw on the guide you made but i remade what i was goin on my Inferno yard to make the compound harder to bait and now ,once again, out of bone so i can’t finish makin my walls. Now im also out of magma so i can’t farm any npcs.

Ok that is something I just whipped up on http://philipp.hostingsociety.com/

Scrap the ADT at the very top I accidentally put it in there.

Its my second concept for a full base, only this one has all the recently added tower numbers as well as the full 340 blocks that a lvl 9 TH allows. It does not however have quake towers and magma towers, I will just place those in other places. In this image:

CC = Champion Cage
TH = Town Hall
S = Sniper
C = Cannon
R = Railgun
A = Aerial Defense Tower
B = Bunker
T = Tesla

The black lines are of course walls, in the thicker areas they are doubled up, the red squares are normal booby traps and the yellow squares are heavy traps. There are 62 total traps, 50 standard, and 12 heavy.

If I were to make any edits myself I would move the 2 silos in the centermost part of the SDT and place them in the space where I have the AAs now. Then move those bunkers and AAs in to the gap left behind.

I would like critique on my THDT/SDT, as well as any improvements anyone can give. Thank You.

from my expirience with the new updates on FB,:
-the paths are too small, make it 1.5 space wide.
-u can only have 2 aerial defence towers, not 3
-all bunkers can be twig cata
-u can only have 60 booby traps, not 62 and 12 heavies.
-all bunkers can be baited with marilyn monstrouse(a chaos weapon if u didnt know)
-no THDT?

oh yeah, the thing u used is named the Next Generation Yard Planner

Well due to those new fortifications, we dont have to watch catapulting as much as before =). This changes the whole game; What about your quake towers? where are you going to place those? & you have a terrible design, sorry for this, but if i were you, the only way this would stand a good attack, is with everything fortified to the max level. Your silo pathing, is terrible, You have most of your defensive towers clustered ( terrible idea, though you get a bit lucky with those fortificatons), Your airdefences only cover the bottom of your base, thats why you need your 3rd ADT up top, but we dont have 3, so i suggest moving 1 adt upwards, as you actually have covered most of the bottom with your tesla’s. These ofcourse cannot take out the lot, so i suggest leaving 1 down below, and 1 up top. However, if you would place it in the spots up top, either the top silo, or the place of the third adt, they could be bombed, anycase with twigs, and maybe with the pebbles…. If you want an realy easy design, to just copy and paste, take pokeyslayers, if not, please do continue with designing/ redevelopement. I like to see new bases designed.

I’m level 40 with 3/5 yard expansions (only need 20 more shiny to reach fourth expansion though), is there a basic yard design I can use? I tried searching through the last twenty pages of this topic and the few that would fit in my yard had very small pictures showing the layouts. I tried to replicate them but always messed up the exact block layouts.

Is there a well-rounded basic layout I can use that has a high-resolution YP image? I was squinting with my face nearly pressed up against the monitor trying to discern the layouts of some of the ones posted here.

There’s a level 45 OP-jumping in my vague direction, and I want to have a solid defence. I think he’ll reach my area in a couple days.

Edit: I found the base guide on the wiki and it gives a few layouts, and I think I’ll go with this one: http://images.wikia.com/backyardmonsters/images/5/5e/Vendetta_v1.0_Yp.png

However the picture is again quite small, I can’t tell if the gaps between some buildings or blocks are 1, 2 or 3 units wide. Is the integrity compromised much if I place things slightly out of place?
