What are the basic guidelines for the Shiny amounts? I’m a level 36 with a few outposts/

I choose not to get any “compensation” from Kixeye. They are a joke as a company. You yourself are a joke. You had no high level, no great number of ops. You speak from ignorance. I’m not really sure what you’re talking about. Anyways, it sounds like you’re not moving over to the facebook version? Whatever game you end up playing next, I hope you have as much fun there as you did here.

Everyone gets 500 Shiny. Yes, only 500. Don’t ask me.

Also, you need to sign up to FB and make a BYM account there by 2/18/2013.

They do make a bit of distinction. People that joined BYM at a certain date, get 800, and very big players, fe like jorn, are offered 1000 shiny. It appears they do not pay attention to achievements, only to the read in date of their ID’s. This is extremely unfair for people like the cell 0 base victims.

Wave, that isn’t the reason at all. I figured it out the other day when Jessica finally told me why. From the id i have on my Kong, it doesn’t link to Spyder. It is someone elses ID. When they look at my ID, it doesn’t show a player that has been around for over a year. It is also the reason that my account shows no shiny purchases.

I don’t know about that Wave. AnduinX joined in late 2011 and only got 500 shiny. AnduinX was also a very big player.

I think I understand Kixeye yet think they are wrong.
When you develop something nice, there are many ways to make it worth your while. If one way doesn’t work as well as you expected or hoped for, you can look for another. You have that right, after all, you developed it.
So let’s take a look at this case. 1. Suppose the game is not on Kongregate’s servers (I think it is, but am not sure), Kixeye would have to pay for the server. Servers however, are increasingly cheap. Some bought shiny makes up for it.
2. If the game were to shut down on Kongregate, would many players move to Facebook? Well, the game has been here since 2011, the diehard players are annoyed and the new ones wouldn’t know about it. Is Kongregate, a rather marginal player, a true threat to Facebook-player-amounts, probably not.
So what can all this be about? In my view, there are two possibilities. (1.) A bugged, not-upgraded or fixed game is bad PR. (2.) There is some exclusivity deal with Facebook in play. The second possibility wouldn’t surprise me, but the first one seems likelier. Though I personally – as one of the top 3 active players here – would appreciate some bug fixes, I can’t expect that from Kixeye if they don’t deem it economically viable. Keeping the game on Kongregate and implementing a few fixes would however, be of little cost, show a commercial appreciation of the players who have already invested real money (not me) and time (me) as well as show an appreciation of the game as such.
If they do delete the game from Kongregate, I don’t blame them, I just figure they have changed from the sentiment expressed in the words, “[that we love to] make games that we grew up playing and that we love playing.” Such a change is understandable in the real world; it would however be decent to give an honest explanation or give an enhanced deal for the few (once again, not me) who wish to go to Facebook.

I wouldn’t say you took TTR down Seven, we pretty much chose not to fight the situation and let you have your “victory”. Don’t you remember scoring several “kills” against my alts main after I broke DP by attacking you with a single pokey? You eventually figured it out and quit attacking me :-p , but others took their version of similar tactics. TTR was still here and adding members as of the Kong shutdown, we weren’t taken out. Kixeye is doing that for us now though…

So I’ll hand the stronger alliance the win, FoA got it, but don’t pat yourself on the back too hard when the alliance you hit had 3 whole lower 40’s level immature jumpers. Everyone knew the end result before anything ever started.

1. The war, along with your utterly hilarious continuation of an argument with a known, admitted and highly respected troll xD pretty much rendered your alliance to more or less to “close shop” as you would call it (Don’t try to deny it… you’re like those pathetic CTA members trying to grab on to what was left, whoops BYM history, too bad can’t blame me for that you forced it out of my mouth xD).
2.I believe both seven and I were referring to the fact that FoA was able to takedown your alliance in the war. As you clearly admitted defeat and capitulated, it is clear that was in fact a takedown of your offensive/defensive.
3.Actually, (Since you seem so keen on wanting to continue this discussion of historical occurrences of BYM) the stunning majority of alliances die right after a war, especially failiances similar to your’s, exhibit CTA, TKOF, pretty much every failiance I’ve taken down, ect.

For one, spam is against the conduct of Kong, and you may (and will) be banned for that.
Second, insulting and swear words are also not allowed.

Third, there’s that button next to your name that says “9 posts” (number may change). Click it, then look at the URL (e.g. http://www.kongregate.com/users/1234567/posts). The number (in the example, that’s the 1234567) is your Kong numerical ID. Hope that helps, you may need it in other situations.

lol… fb bym also gets hacked… there was an entire apocalypse in fb on rich server (was largest server) where a dude took over each hex; just let bym die already :D
