Every game like this has over-powered gear that can only be achieved by one specific manner and is stupidly difficult to obtain—which drives desire for this gear up to a feverishness level.
For a boss to drop specialized gear(the pvp gear i mentioned), the boss itself should be well-versed in the art(battling). I move to have this new boss do damage like the Malikar raids(hurting our armies) and have +20million health at Tier4. It would also need the option to be hit with energy OR stam(yes, like the Malikars—but no defense). This would make it next-to-impossible for all, except the most determined players, to get this gear — and it would also provide a nice middle-ground between the current bosses and the ultra raids.
Rare, Legendary, “Ultra-Gear” and Crafties loot only plz, no point in a raid this powerful dropping common/uncommon junk.
Somebody said the drop rates of ssyth reagents are horrible, so the drop rates I’m proposing would be impossible. Yeah, it would seem that way— and with gear like this, it SHOULD seem so.
Rare, legndary, and ultra gear is very very very OP when combines with crafties for ULTRA POWERFUL gear. it ight work if it has a few hundred M hp if it has the other crafties with it.

heh redo the column spacing in the detailed profile to accommodate more digits. specifically the line “Streak / Max: xxxx/xxxx” <-basically there is too much wasted space between the : and the first digit x. it can probably be spaced to handle xxxxxx/xxxxxx or 999999/999999. since right now it can only handle 9999/9999, when you hit 10000 it does this → 10000/ <next> 10000. so it adds a line break.
and yes only 3 people have see it screw up like this.. >:)

i got a suggestion, more for the players than the dev(s) though. can everyone stop “suggesting” (complaining about) the energy and stamina recharge time. i mean seriously it hasn’t been changed yet it’s likely not GOING to be changed, the system works so far, there are several hundered people spending several thousand dollars on this game and unlike a lotta games like this the guy in charge seems to be doing things right, moving forward, and listening to just about everything else. if you don’t like the way it all charges then go play a different game, you’ll probably be back in a few hours/days when you’re all charged back up anyways. and im fairly certain the whole POINT of the game is to play this and have plenty of time to go play other games, or chat, or pvp since that takes forever for a lot of people still. (which btw, also not complaining about that myself, my problems are with my own computer) seems to me that most of you people are just looking for something about the game to complain about now. i mean seriously, when all your other problems in the game are fixed you always have this one to fall back on don’t you? well i seriously hope you do cause i like the game the way it is and the rest of you can just sit there for about an hour till you have enough energy to complain about it more .

Thanks Taupotiger,
on the energy/stam thing, speeding it up would really be a pain in the ass. cause right now i can log on 2x a day and not waste any stamina in PvP. if time were accelerated then the game would be a lot more like work. and if it gets too invasive people quit faster, like a month vs many who stay here 6 months or more. and if it were implemented like a premium account then there would be guilds of only premium users and the power gaps would be greater.
people who want regen to be faster simply do not know how to play the game.. seriously i was leveling 2-3x a day or more under level 80, then i slowed to about 1 level a day til maybe 120, then a level every other day until level 180, then i got refill happy and levelled a bunch.
if you have no allies and all you do is raid.. YOU are Doing it wrong. quest to get end of book gems, turn them into plat. hoard your level plat, and get daily allies.. get like 100 plat allies and then raid.. :P Energy raid + stam raiding = the slowest way to level.. quest + PvP = FasT

I was thinking it would be nice if your name would be colored yellow if your on the Challenge list for that week and your guilds name would be colored yellow if your in the top 10 for raid kills or battles to make it faster to see at a glance or from a distance.

How can a guild nemesis be malikar?
Without any bad intentions, and all the best, taupo

Make it harder to leave your guild. A pop-up box so you shouldn’t leave your guild by accident. Happened to me.

Taupo, TPC got Malikar back when it was released. You still had to message mososh to change it at that time.

Yes, this a repost of a repost of a repost…but for active PvP’ers, this is a real pain!
Pretty please…any chance at all that you can do something about the Battles screen? I’ve just gone to the battles screen, and seen three members of my own guild, and two people that I’ve already battled 10 times today. Is there any way to exclude your own guild members, and/or if you have already hit someone 10 times today, that they should not then appear – would be so much better if the Battle screen just showed those you could battle!
As per my previous (previous) post:
Battles – just reiterating that it would be really useful when going to the Battle list to have the following options:
1) An option to exclude all members of the guild that you belong to, so you don’t battle your own guild members by accident
2) Anyone that you have already battled should not appear on the Battle list until you can actually battle them again – on a slow connection it’s a real pain when you click on a name, and it tells you that you can only battle them 10 times in a day, so you have to go back to the battle list.

Hello,
I´d have an almost “blasphemic” suggestion:
Invert the gold amount.
Every rookie at lvl 1 starts with 1000 million gold, and this amount is constantly reduced when playing. You have to earn additional gold by finishing books or by crafting treasures or by buying gold with plat.
Prices of equipment could be very higher, every player could decide how to spend it, thus also pvp would become more stategic.
Presently lower levellers either spend all gold to summon lower level raids to feed the guild or to create arenas they can never win.
Presently gold is garbage when you are 120+.
In this way, gold would gain more importance.
all the best,
taupotiger, currently 1000k+ garbage gold

I recommend less time to recharge, use less energy points to initiate combat.
I’m at level 89 with energy of 772 which takes 48 1/2 hours to fully recharge
all of it.
It took 1 minute to use it all in a quest for book 3 chapter 8 “There Be Demons”
at 46 energy…It would be nice if the energy levels did not go any higher.
I get the feeling by the time I reach level 100 CoH will be unplayable.
By no means am I asking to make the game easier, that’s no fun.
Just make it more, well, playable.
Oh yeah. 15 platinum for 25 kreds? I think the pricing of platinum could be
a bit more kred friendly.

Can you switch the Gog’s Icesteel Shackles Special with the Gog’s Flamesteel Shackles Special, I want to buy the complete Vamp Regen set, but then I’d have a blue cape and armor with orange shackles. Also can you switch the Gog’s Mighty Visage Special with the Gog’s Frosted Visage Special It would be nice if the vamp regen set matched all blue.
One other thing I was thinking would be nice is if when hovering over a piece of equipment in the market, inventory, crafting screen, etc your equipped gear would show up next to it for comparing stats.
-thanks mososh/Chris

Please add a 5 stamina/energy button for raids—like Dawn of the Dragons; you should learn from Legacy of a Thousand Suns.

Will post it here too, just in case. Interface Improving Suggestion.
IMO the equipment window is a real mess. Mouse-overing stats instead of picture is an awful decision. What it does need is:
1) make the stats appear like a little floating window, that will still let you see the picture
2) keep the color border to see the item’s average quality w/o having to mouse over
3) highlight the slot available for that item, and float out stats of the current item in that slot to compare (double for weapons)
Loadouts:
1) It would be great to make custom loadouts, not just three with standard names. Saving a loadout, you input a name for it, if that name already exists, the loadout is replaced. Well you can keep 3 custom loadout slots and make people buy more loadout slots with platinum.
2) please make the loadouts equip themselves automatically upon loading one of them.
2.1) as an alternaative, highlight those items in a loadout list which are not equipped (or equipped) currently

btw i hate the “retire” button.. i have always hated it.. please get rid of that whole retire box and make a new icon next to “trophies” called “options”.
add the following options:
1) message officers/guildmaster <-suggestions, tattletales.. lol whatever, messages all 3 at once.
2) Vacation notice on/off (max 2 weeks in a row) you can still be kicked with this notice on.
3) Guild mates appear in battle? on/off
4) Guild mates appear in challenge? on/off
5) retire from guild? with 2 confirmations, first is a yes/no, second is a yes/no + leave a final message for guild or officers. Like a burn all bridges you SOBs kinda message, or a lovefest.. haha you choose.

how about a set of skills that open up depending on how long a character has been active. Call it the Addict Options, They become enabled at 6 months.
1) for raids, auto-buys all general supply
2) auto-battles all of your stam, 1 battle per target no repeats, set at either low(-25 levels)/med(at level)/high level(+ 25 levels). if during a medium/high level auto-battle you manage a 50+ streak you get a random crafty drop from book 1, if you manage 100+ streak you get a book 2 or 3 crafty or a plat, If you manage 150+ streak you can get a crafty (book 4/mali/gog) or a plat, if 200+ you can get an uber crafty for a new PvP ubar necklace.. muahahaha. no potions. If you are so high level you cannot fight enuf to clear your stam, it automatically attacks top down ordered by level until you run outta stam. this feature also auto-skips guild members.
3) power quests.. spends all remaining energy into quests, auto-refills health.
lol as you can see i am getting tired of all of the maintenance stuff… lol almost a year for me :P

ok, lets discuss about the game theory for maintenance functions in these kinda games.. Basically from what i understand the more clicks, the more activities to do the more interesting a browser game is for new players. give them lotsa things to do and then they will spend more time and thereby be more likely to spend $$ for microtransactions.
but my question is, at what point does all the “extra” function just = tedium and the player quits? I mean how many accounts are still active from last summer? how many are from 6 months ago? what kind of revenue does each group generate? now i don’t expect a public answer but just think.
now for the older players in excess of 6 months, whats the point of making them collect crap like general supply, many of these guys have spend $$ on allies and have sizeable armies. they need room for the weapons for those armies and now there is a very small gap between a fully equipped army and the item cap(only 1000 items). many people who play these games like to collect items.. and now they can’t since they run out of space easily.
Also many of them log in less due to the pain either of tedious PvP looking for the guy who is not retired.. or gotta sell too many items in the market. I mean whats wrong with streamlining the game for people who have already been in it for hundreds of hours? I mean if you don’t want to just give options for account longevity.. why not require book 4 be completed? I mean in pure regen and no refills to finish book 4 must take at least 6 months..
So what do i want? well its plastered all over this thread.
1. i want general supply in gold.
2. i want no more useless loot from any boss. i want loot in gold, crafties and plat. screw items i don’t want them any more
3. i want even faster PvP, 1 stam to 1 battle. i want to attack 244(all my stam) targets all at once. one click.
4. i want auto refill HP in quests.. i don’t want to stop for anything. whats the point.
5. i want a use for gold, make crafty recipes need some gold or something.
6. make us earn these functions as a reward for playing for so long… like the end of book 4..
that is all

I would like to be able to search for players in-game. Would make it easy to drop by friends profile and see if they are making any progress or having any luck with chest loot. Could also serve other purposes.
Another idea; How about the next boss dropping entire gear? It only makes sense that a powerful raid boss would have weps and armor, so why dont they drop the gear without us having to accumulate many items to make the item? Many games have completed items as loot.
I am also using this opportunity to second Nans’ idea on making the game more streamlined for players that have put forth the effort of logging many hours in this game. I’d suggest a rewards program based on levels as not all players have an interest in doing quests—for example; after hitting certain levels it would no longer be required to manually equip generals with items(“Pay 20,000 gold to stock up your Generals”). Would be a nice reward for hitting level 100, no?
This is also a perfect opportunity to personally thank you, Mososh, for making PVP so beautifully simplistic in its’ use. This is exactly the sort of streamlining we like to see! We love you, bro… keep the creativity flowing!!

I’d like to see the loadouts actualy load items. Currently, it’s a mess and i find it hard to use. There’s no need for 3 tabs for each load out. So I click on a loadout tab, I click and drag one of the items to equip and then the one that was equipped is now in the loadout. So after a couple switches the whole thing is cluttered with items.
What it should be. When you go to the general loadouts tab, you can see all 3 of them, each having a SAVE button. Now why not add a LOAD button right next to it??? Simple as that. You press SAVE and it saves your current configuration. You press LOAD and it loads your saved configuration. That’s it. No need for tabs and grab and drag and all that mess.

So…GUS can be used to upgrade the Slisk Fang Necklace. Any chance of having something else to use them for? Having loaded up with Deathclubs, I currently have 37 in inventory unused, and enough crafties to make another one. Rather than just sell them off, would be good to use them for something…!
Ditto for Stingers, I’ve sold around 250 so far.

Yeah, I have to second Nan’s posts. I’ve been playing since before book 2 was finished, if I remember right. I’m def getting bored of the game now and log in less frequently. I haven’t spent much money on it either lately because it doesn’t seem worth it and I can plat farm. Keeping us interested sounds selfish but hey, we love the game and want to keep loving it.

No idea if this has been suggested already or not, but the idea just hit me. The element of challenges in this game can be fun, but often the mechanics of it are simply too frustrating. Anyone can become active in the challenge “pool” (assuming they’re high enough level), but that doesn’t mean they’re actively challenging or responding to challenges. Some weeks it seems like I send out 60 (or more) challenges to have exactly zero replies.
My idea: deactivate the challenges component of a player’s profile if he/she doesn’t participate in at least one challenge per week. The length of time before deactivation is far less important to me than the concept of removing deadbeat challengers is. Just a thought.
1. Does that include giving out challenges?
2. Especially if 1 is no, that means you must fight a much better opponent and lose, just to be able to challenge again.
2a. What happens if you’re not challenged at all?
“Participate in at least one challenge” means sending a challenge or accepting a challenge from another player. Even if a player merely declines the challenge I would argue that they are active. The intent of such an idea would be to remove from the challenger pool players who no longer play the game at all or at least those who ignore the challenge component of the game.
