The only reason I play these free MMO games is to get the badge. Up to now, all the games I’ve tried let you do get it somehow without the use of money. This one is a major exception and I am terribly disappointed. It’s only taken me hours and hours of playing to figure it out :( I should state that this particular type of city-builder game (of which there are many) has some very innovative and interesting concepts that make it lots of fun. The downside is, however, that the number of money-requiring options just gets in the way of its enjoyment. I’ll use Dream World as an example of a game that does this in a very innocuous way where free2play and “kong credit” users can co-exist amicably.

how so? I’ve heard from experienced players that it is actually possible later on to become vip without paying for gold, which is quite the opposite of what you’re stating?

Wrong, you can get gold without paying (through AH), but you don’t get free VIP without paying.
Apart from that, hell dungeons have NOTHING to do with VIP or spending gold, just unlock them…

Wrong, ever heard of free kreds from offers? Pretty sure thats how I got my VIP without spending a penny on this game.

Would you care to explain HOW it costs gold? As far as I can tell you only need lvl 40 requirement to open the first 4 dungeons and then just grind until you’ve completed hell.
This will certainly take a bit of time but there is no gold cost involved. I’m level 27. 2 Dungeons down 2 to go.

you do not need to spend money to do this, it just takes time.
you only “need” to put kreds in if you wish to be competitive, but its not neccessary for the badge.

Im lvl 81 and have never spent a cent on this game.
You’re just at a disadvantage to the pay players.

I already used the dungeon keys I had to open the non-hellish one needed. So with 3 more hellish dungeons to do, I am left with 1 key…. the deduction is that I must pay to get one… or wait and possibly get one by chance when i’m old and gray!! I think most of your comments were accurate, just not related to the point I was making… and that’s ok.

You get 3 free dungeon keys every single day.
They dont show in your inventory.
Just go to the dungeon after server reset time and you’ll see them there.
