Instructions: Get to max mana, cast LS, if it hits HoL, then cast GG and CtA and all your TCs; if it hits the target your Grand Balance also hits then cast everything and Abdicate. I went from 9e36 to 4e41 when my LS hit Deep Mines early in the run.
Also this build is also good for getting 2k of each building as well as max buildings.
I just tried God’s Crusaders, and I’m confused about it. Several upgrades it says to get don’t seem to contribute to either faction coins or mana regen. Is there a reason it contains any upgrades that just boost regular production? The description says that the build is supposed to get you to 200k spells and 100b FC, so regular production shouldn’t matter much. And it was giving me only 40 MPS, 80 while Fairy Chanting was going. That’s not nearly fast enough to cast 200k spells; especially since it says to cast all the more expensive spells. I’m at 7 reincarnations; is this build only good at much higher; or was I doing something wrong?

It’s a build for making the most money you can with the severe restriction of selecting good mercenaries, which happens to get those achievements after not too long. As it says in the description, Mana-narama is/was the _best_ build for getting the achievements.
An alternative to Cialis, as requested by why\_amihere:
Viagra : Long incremental build, requires its bloodline to function
Range : +R10
Requirements : Mana Regen of at least 38~39/sec (A [Foreplay](http://www.kongregate.com/forums/8945/topics/535779?page=6#posts-9654829) build will save time on this setup — see Cialis) and the ability to **NEVER BUILD DEEP MINES** — Building Deep Mines weakens the build considerably.

Drow (3,3): Blade Dance
Harlequin Bonus: 729%
Bloodline : Angel
Instructions : Setup: Excavate a lot at the start to build up mana regeneration from Trade Lords until you have around 38~39 mana regen and production bonuses from Battlehammers/Mining Prodigies/Strong Currency.
Growth Phase: Set Combo Strike to autocast with contingency turned off. Let it run for as long as you can take it.
Final production phase (Can also be used as a quick check on the build’s overall growth): Switch autocasting from Combo Strike to Call To Arms, then use Grand Balance, Combo Strike, Gem Grinder and only as many Tax Collections as you can without risking a break in the spell chain.
R14+: Stick with Earthly Bond [Druid (2,1)] instead of Overgrowth [Faceless (3,3)] — Spiritual Surge’s boost (199x at R14) during the final production phase will far outweigh the bonus from Overgrowth and you will need the large mana pool to ensure Angel Bloodline does not break if you include it in the spell combo.
Feel free to make any changes, I’m just testing this out.
You sure there isn’t a random angel, fairy, or undead upgrade that won’t do better than demonic presence since you’re relying on GB? Plagued Buildings would at least do SOMETHING. And maybe Fairy Workers but I haven’t run it to see where GB goes.
This is a proposed merc build leaning toward nearly purely idle.

This is an untested build. I had no idea what to do for spells except tried to stick with assistants theme. The build is meant to be offline+assistants oriented. I doubt this will be a strong build, but if anyone wants to mess with it to optimize it, I’d love to see what you have to add/change.
Were you thinking it was time for an alternative to Cialis that doesn’t require Lightning Strike? It’s technically not quite as effective but does a very similar thing without all the side effects (like getting annoyed while you wait for a Pyramid hit). You can guess what the name’s going to be… Start requirements are different for R14+
**Viagra**
Range : R12/13, ~100Nod/e62 gems or more (higher at R14), works as soon as ZenStrike stops working well. Might require some time in a Foreplay build to increase clicks enough to play
_Characteristics: Build that relies on Grand Balance producing about 10% of what Lightning Strike would achieve on a target hit. Note that some multipliers are hindered to decrease annoyance factor during production phase. Skip building Deep Mines, Stone Pillars and Farms._

1. Set up, but avoid building Deep Mines, Stone Pillars and Farms
2. Excavate a ton until you have 38+ mana/s (theoretically 40, but there seems to be 1s lag between autocasts)
3. Combo Strike for several hours
4. Switch to production phase (cast Call to Arms at max mana, wait 10s, cast Grand Balance, wait 4s, cast Combo Strike, Gem Grinder and Call to Arms again as soon as you can) while autoclicking 30/s
I’ve been using Zenstrike, and in 40 minutes I got 300 Nod gems (currently at 440 Nod beforehand), but I switched elven luck with rainbow link because I don’t like relying on two sets of luck (lightning strike + elven luck).
Seems great to break the 1 Vg wall, and other builds can probably get even further.

> I’m just curious, my math knowledge extends to whatever I remember at the moment from pre calc but it’s always confused me why people insist on putting starmetal alloy into blacksmith builds, It only really serves as a 2X and gives you some extra buildings, I know this causes several self reinforcing effects but I don’t understand how it can hold up against the extra 15X at minimum you’ll get from the other upgrades on that tier.
Where does 2X come from?
This is the full version of a Spiritual Surge, Fairy Chanting, Grand Balance build. I had previously included it as a note in another build. _edit: tested and optimized skill selections, made skill selections easier to read – hopefully._
**Grand Chant** (aka Farm Management)
_Description_: Passive, high income build for very short runs.
_Requires_: Fairy Chanting upgrade
_Alignment_: Neutral
_Range_: R3?-R13 (R12 before Reincarnation 12)
_Use_:
Use Demon bloodline until gem gains slow down, then switch to Titan bloodline. Optionally, excavate several million faction coins to power a few more Titan runs. Switch to Zen Strike for slightly longer runs. Zen Strike’s income scales 4x in an hour or two (largely due to faction coins from Lightning Strike.) This build doesn’t scale well over time.
~~Reincarnation 14: Use Undead bloodline in place of Titan.~~
_Reincarnation 12-13_: Swap Druid (2,1) Earthly Bond for Angel (2,2) Angelic Wisdom with Titan bloodline, and Druid (2,2) Bardic Knowledge for Demon bloodline. **Don’t build stone pillars, farms can generally be built to max, but be cautious about buying farm upgrades at lower gem totals. Check the alchemist lab income to guarantee Grand Balance hit farms.**
_Reincarnation 7-11_: Use Reincarnation 12-13 build if it doesn’t create mana shortfalls, otherwise use base build.
_Reincarnation 3-6_: Untested: use Titan build skill selections.
_Active (clicker) version_: Use the Zen strike build, swap Lightning Strike for Fairy Chanting. Follow instructions in this build to make Grand Balance hit farms, not stone pillars. Fairy Strike only lasts 10 seconds and needs to be cast twice to maximize a combo.
**Instructions** :
If you don’t have enough mana for the initial combo, cast the combo without Gem Grinder to buy more buildings. Excavating faction coins will increase mana regeneration a little.
**Build no deep mines**. Build a few hundred less farms than you can afford. Farms have to be less productive than stone pillars. In high level runs, you might leave farms at 1700 at first, to make sure Grand Balance affects them (otherwise the build won’t work.) You can buy the last farm upgrade (5x farm income) safely once the stone pillars produce 5x more than farms. Then more farms can be purchased as long as they don’t exceed the stone pillar production. At lower building totals, keep farms cheaper than stone pillars by buying more stone pillars, less farms, and less farm upgrades if need be.
_Active_: Cast Grand Balance. Cast Gem Grinder, Call to Arms, and Spiritual surge when time reaches 19s. Cast Fairy Chanting when time reaches 9s. Cast Tax Collections until spells run out.
_Passive_: Contingency Autocast Grand Balance. Priority Autocast Spiritual Surge, Gem Grinder, Call to Arms, Fairy Chanting, and Tax collection in that order.
Spells
1. Grand Balance
2. Fairy Chanting
Tier 1 Upgrades
Goblin (1,1) Strong Currency
Druid (1,1) Druidic Vocabulary
~~Titan (1,3) Oversized Legends~~ Dwarf (1,2) Expert Masonry
Dwarf (1,3) Mining Prodigies
Alternate: ~~Elven (1,3): Sylvan Treasure Frills~~ Titan (1,3) Oversized Legends
Tier 2 Upgrades
Titan (2,3) Cyclopean Strength
Faceless (2,1) Gold Synthesis
Druid (2,2) Bardic Knowledge
Druid (2,1) Earthly Bond
Tier 3 Upgrades
Druid (3,3) Building Jungle
Titan (3,3) Titan Obelisk
Dwarf (3,1) Battle Hammers
Fairy (1,1) Swarm of Fairies
**Do not replace Druid (3,3) Building Jungle. It helps keep the Grand Balance spell from hitting the stone pillars.** It can be replaced in build variants that don’t build Stone Pillars.
Harlequin bonus: 125% -216%
Bloodline: ~~Undead~~ , Druid, Titan, or Demon
~~For high gem totals, use Titan until you reach Reincarnation 14, then use Undead. Always use Demon at lower gem totals.~~
~~Check your Bloodstream multipliers. This is based on time spent in a faction as of v1.3.34 (shown at the bottom of the stats screen), and can heavily favor one bloodline over another.~~
~~Titan Bloodline: Fairy chanting ~164,000%, Bloodline 3500-5500%.
**7.38 Million %** at 4500% bloodline multipler~~
~~Undead Bloodline with less than 100 total assistants: Fairy Chanting 178,000%, Bloodline 4600% hypothetically providing 77 assistants (95 total assistants).
**8.18 Million %** ~~
~~Undead Bloodline 100 total assistants: 360,000% Fairy Chanting, Bloodline 10500%.
**37.8 Million %** ~~
~~Achieving the very high income Undead Build requires 82 assistants from the bloodline at the start of the run. 81 assistants after about a half hour, and 80 assistants a bit before two hours.~~

It increases base production by about as much as it originally had, therefore it’s a doubling effect before taking the effects of having more buildings into account.
> *It increases base production by about as much as it originally had, therefore it’s a doubling effect before taking the effects of having more buildings into account.*
Starmetal make each blacksmith worth 15 times as much.
Blackmith give 20 coins/sec each before any multipliers and with starmetal it give 600 coins/sec which is a 2900% bonus production.
Idk if anyones posted it yet..
but since update, there should be a HOLstrike, based directly off the Pyrastrike.
only changes..
HFB instead of DP **if HFB modifier is higher**
Titan Obelisk instead of Rainbow Link
play until you get an HoL strike.
It’s a weird build, since it relys on the new upgrades.. at 8dc it looks to be about even with pyrastrike since I only managed 1300 HoL, so only had the first upgrade..
with everything but last spell and titan obelisk, I have 85% pyramid and 14% HoL, with 1300 HoL.
that means I am making 5.6X income from Pyra.
DP is currently 66X income, and HFB is 308X income, so I am gaining a 4.6X income by choosing HFB instead of DP currently, **although this difference will diminish as I do more excavations** only at 264 atm.
Titan Obelisk is currently a 2619% bonus, while Rainbow link is a 1125% bonus.. and Swarm of Fairies is only slightly better than that, and harder to compare.
so that means I am getting 2.3X income by choosing Obelisk over Link.
Means I am making 2.3X4.6/5.6=1.88X income, so 88% more income from a HOL strike rather than choosing the default PYrastrike.
8.033 Dc gems
264 Excavations
Reincarnation 8
Please let me know what thoughts there are.
I am currently really REALLY stuck and need some advice on a build to play to get me out of this hole I’ve dug for myself.
I’m on R12 trying to get to 13. I have 103.3 Nod gems (1.033e62) and need 1 Vg (1e63) to reincarnate. Every build I’ve tried on the merc thread is moving like a snails pace, with next to no gem gain at all. My big problem is that I’m at 883 excavations, where it’s going to start taking almost 2 Nod gems, so any other build I try is going to have to either have LS for one of the spells, use Faceless bloodline, or be very heavily assistant based.
tips?
Aric, I was in the exact same position last night. Go with ZenStrike and click until you get 1000 of each faction coin so you can buy Lightning Strike. Cast it once and you can set up the rest of your build. I was able to reincarnate after perhaps 3 runs. Your high excavation count will actually boost you quite a bit with this build.
Curious if anyone has tried a variant for pyrastrike, but with a focus shifted to HoL after the patch released the large boosts for them.
One of the upsides is that, since you’re not relying on pyramids, you can replace Rainbow Link with the Titan (3,3) upgrade? Not sure how much of a hit Harlequin might take, but that upgrade is usually worth at least twice as much as the fairy one.
There’s also the consideration of being evil so you can get the demon upgrade that multiplies HoL production by #(Evil Fortress+Hell Portal)x#(trophies)% (not the actual numbers I think, but I remember it giving upwards of 100000% before I was switching to neutral builds)
After the last update gave HoLs some much needed love I thought it’d be cool to try and to make a build around them.
**Halls of Lightning**
Alignment: Neutral
Spells:
Lightning Strike
Hellfire Blast
T1:
Goblin: Strong Currancy
Dwarf: Dwarven Ale, Alternatively you could go with Mining Prodigies it really depends on your number of excavations
Titan: Colossal Forge
Titan: Oversized Legends (This upgrade is required because it will allow you to buy more HoLs which is an important part of a future upgrade)
T2:
Demon: Demonic Presence
Titan: Cyclopean Strength
Druid: Earthly Bond
Druid: Bardic Knowledge
T3:
Titan: Titan Obelisk (This upgrade is required because it will allow HoL to outpreform Ancient Pyramid)
Dwarf: Battlehammers
Dwarf: Magic Resistance
Druid: Building Jungle (This upgrade is required because along with Titan Obelisk it will allow HoL to outpreform Ancient Pyramid)
Harlequin Bonus: 125%
Bloodline: Titan
This build will require you to have the Hell Rush trophy so Hellfire Blast can target HoL, at least the first upgrade in the Hall of Fame series. You need to cast LS and if it hits HoL cast all your other spells this build brought me up from e46 gems to e51 after it landed on HoL the first time, I was on r10 when I tried this. Like all LS builds you can sacrifice production to get higher mana regen but choose your upgrades carefully this build becomes useless if Ancient Pyramids are better then your HoLs.
If anyone can improve upon this build I’d appericate it if you could post some changes to it.
Hi, this is an assistant build that I’ve been working on and would really appreciate some input.
**Assistant Takeover**
Range : R9+ (Requires Hell Rush Upgrade and Planned Autocasting)
Characteristics: This is an Evil pet build that relies on Hellfire Blast, Night Time, and the new HoL upgrades that were introduced in v1.3.34. While usable while at lower gem counts, this build is the most efficient when the player has access to the final new HoL upgrade.

Secondary Spells: CTA followed by Tax Collection
The inclusion of Blood Frenzy is completely up to the player. However, my testing shows that it’s inclusion reduces the spell combo’s gains by about half
gensuki, I believe I discuss that change on the previous page.. and at various ranges it is more effective.. I feel that around 2k buildings it’s about even.
at 544 trophies, it would take 1234 excavations for DP to be more effective than HFB. andtitan obelisk is roughly 2.5X better than rainbow link..
in the dc-Sxd range I’ve noticed HoL strike is roughly 25-35% better than Pyrastrike.
